6th Grade Teacher Intern 2017 – 2018
Gearld Wright Elementary
 Plan lessons, develop behavior management and classroom procedure systems and
respond to the different needs of a community of learners.
 Provide consistent expectations and respond sensitively to the emotional needs of
students.
 Engage in lessons allowing students to explore their rights and responsibilities in the
world through such contemporaneous topics as gun violence in schools and gender
discrimination and bias throughout society.
 Collaborate with a team of colleagues to support grade wide consistency and to assess
students for formative planning.
 Supervise 6th Grade Student Ambassadors in completing responsibilities throughout the
school year.

Newman Elementary
 Teach students differentiated lessons and provide student centered curricular support in
English Language Development and Mathematics curriculum.
 Teach grade levels 2nd to 6th, with a wide range of student abilities, and with professional
supervision and support from Special Education Teacher Ana Park.

Physical Education Paraprofessional 2016 – 2017


Newman Elementary
• Plan and lead age and skill level appropriate Physical Education activities and sports for
students ages 5 to 12.
• Manage behavior through the creation of a set of clear rules and expectations for
students, and problem solve with students who struggle to engage and participate.
• Model positive attitudes about physical activity and encourage a welcoming and
supportive environment.

Psychiatric Technician II 2006 – 2015


University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute (UNI)
 Provide and maintain a therapeutic group setting for children and adolescents with a
range of behavioral and developmental disorders and mental illnesses.
 Plan and carry out therapeutic activities and groups for young children.
 Collaborate with Psychology Staff to implement behavior support plans for Autism
Spectrum Disorder patients, and other patients requiring specific behavioral
interventions.

exemplary achievement and promise as an educator.
