Penna Cements crosses 1.3 MT in cement dispatches

For the first time we cross the barrier of 1 Million Tonnes in yearly dispatches in the year FY

Talaricheruvu plant capacity expansion to 1.8 MTPA

Our production capacity at Talaricheruvu plant further expanded from 1.2 MTPA to 1.8

Joint Venture with Pioneer cements LLC

We set up our first joint venture with Pioneer Cements LLC, a 50: 50 joint venture in UAE
for a 1.5 MTPA cement plant in alliance with RAK Investment Authority of the Government
of UAE

Established a joint venture with Parasakti Cements Ltd

Our first Joint venture in India, Establishes Parasakti Cements Ltd a 50:50 joint venture with
a production capacity of 0.5 MTPA in Guntur, Central Eastern Andhra Pradesh

Commencement of construction of Tandur Plant

We Commence construction of our fourth cement plant with a capacity of 2.0 MTPA at
Tandur in Rangareddy District

Commencement of construction of Power Plant at Ganeshpahad

We commence construction of our first captive power plant with 77 MW coal based power
plant at Ganeshpahad

Commissioning of Boyareddypalli Plant with a capacity of 2.0 MTPA

We commission our third cement plant with a capacity of 2.0 MTPA capacity at
Boyareddypalli, in South western Andhra Pradesh with rail head facility

Expansion of capacity at Parasakti plant to 1.2 MTPA

We undergo further expansion and commissioning of capacity at Parasakti plant from 0.50
MTPA to 1.20 MTPA

Sold stake in Pioneer Cement Industries LLC

We sold our stake in Pioneer Cement Industries LLC, a 1.5 MTPA cement manufacturing
unit located at Ras-Al-Khaimah, UAE to Raysut Cements

OUR TEAM

Mr. P Prathap Reddy

Mr. P Prathap Reddy founded PCIL in 1991 and has been its Managing Director since its
inception. Right after graduating from college, Mr Reddy took up civil engineering contracts
under the name of “PIONEER BUILDERS”. Pioneer Builders has executed many prestigious
civil engineering contracts for various state governments such as A.P, Karnataka,
Maharashtra, Kerala and Tamilnadu.
Under the leadership of Mr. P. Prathap Reddy, Penna Cement has shown consistent growth
and has established itself as one of the largest privately held cement companies in India.

MR. P MUNI KRISHNA

Mr P. Munikrishna is a B.Sc (Chemistry) graduate and a qualified Mechanical Engineer from

Sri Venkateswara University. Mr. Munikrishna has over 40 years of vast experience in
cement industry, both in project implementation and plant operations. In the past, he has been
associated with the successful implementation and operation of reputed cement plants such as
Raasi, Sagar, Cement Division of Coromandal Fertilisers etc.

As the Managing Director of Priyadarshini Cement Limited, he was responsible for the
complete turnaround of the company. Mr Munikrishna is presently Managing Director of
Parasakti Cement Industries Limited.

MR. P VENUGOPAL REDDY

Mr. P. Venugopal Reddy is a Commerce Graduate. After completing education, he started

Civil Engineering contracts under the name of M/s.V.R. Constructions, a company which has
executed many prestigious civil engineering contracts for various state governments. Mr.
Venugopal Reddy has a rich experience in Civil Engineering and project administration.

MR. Y SANTOSH KUMAR REDDY

Mr. Santosh Kumar Reddy, a Mechanical Engineering Graduate, is currently Managing

Director of Rain CII Carbon (Vizag) Limited (RCCVL), a company involved in
manufacturing of Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) with 49 MW of Co-Generation of
Electricity in the port of Visakhaptnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Mr Reddy has extremely rich experience in the manufacturing industry and over the decades
has been responsible in establishing some of the best corporate governance practices in
RCCVL and Penna Cement.

MRS. P DEEPTHI REDDY

Mrs. P Deepthi Reddy is a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) graduate from Cardiff
University, UK. Since 2004, she has been actively working with Penna Trust, a trust
responsible for implementing the group’s strategic initiatives in Corporate Social
Responsibility.

In the year 2013, she was also appointed as director on the board of Penna Cement Industries
Ltd.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES

Other Businesses

Penna group has grown over the last two decades and today has business interests in
diversified sectors such as Power, Alumina, Construction and Hospitality businesses.
Power
Power is one of the emerging sectors in which Penna has successfully entered and established
a portfolio of hydro and gas based plants in a very short span of 15 years.

Our total hydro and gas power generation capacity is 173 MW spread across the states of
Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Aluminium
Anrak Aluminium Ltd is a state of the art Alumina Manufacturing unit strategically located in
an SEZ near Vizag (AP).

With an annual capacity of 1.5 Million Tonnes, the company exports its production to various
clients across the globe. The plant also has a captive thermal power plant of 225MW.

Construction
Penna group has ventured into the business of hospitality and is in final stage of construction
of a five star hotel in Hyderabad. Pioneer Hotels and Resorts Limited (PHRL) has plans of
setting up hospitality projects across the country.

Pioneer Builders Limited (PBL) undertakes various irrigation projects.

Transport
Pioneer Builders Limited ( PBL) Transport division is the primary transporter for PCIL.

They transport around 30 to 40% of total road movement for PCIL. They have a fleet of over
200 trucks. The transport division operates out of 2 garages strategically located at Tadipatri
and Ganeshpahad.
