Intralasik is an all-laser LASIK procedure. Instead of a
microkeratome, the Intralase laser is used to create a flap on the
epithelium (eye skin) before cornea tissue is reshaped using cool
Excimer laser.

This treatment is recommended for people with thin cornea, as it provides the same convenience and benefits as Lasik
while saving cornea tissue. Currently only available at Optimax TTDI & Optimax Johor Bahru, patients referred from

Another tissue-saving procedure is LASEK, where the epithelium layer is loosened with an
alcohol solution. After 30 seconds, the surgeon folds the loosened epithelium before laser
is applied. A bandage contact lens is placed to help healing. More checkups is required to
monitor the re-growth of the epithelium.
