romanos.
mayas.
griegos.
The main contributions of this civilization go back to the VIII and VII century
a.C. focusing on the geometry to make their constructions.
The first numbering was done by them in addition to the negative numbers, the
arithmetic algebra and trigonometry, they included the number as null, as well as the
calculation of the deduction, they used the base 10 numbering but they were based
more on astronomy.
Other civilizations was the Mesopotamian civilization.
Mesopotamia.
This civilization left important contributions to mathematics since they started the
intensive use of agriculture.
Thanks to this type of agriculture they gave to the task of the study of astronomy in
order to predict the time, and thus harvest in fertile times, they relied on the position
of the sun and the stars to be able to do all this
In mathematics they were based on geometry, numbering and astrology, in geometry
as applied science they used it for the realization of constructions of the time
Babylon.
China.
The most advanced Asian civilization which was one of the most important in the
ancient world.
Mathematics was used especially in geometry, since its constructions were
complicated with temples with roofs in peak, the construction of dams, but especially
the great Chinese wall which reaches to measure 6000 km. of length.
Egypt.
The Egyptian civilization was one of the great civilizations of the ancient world, they
developed a system of writing and numbering with hieroglyphs, they also had
elementary knowledge in the calculation and geometry that served them for
agriculture and the construction of their monuments, as well as astronomy only that
they did not develop it as well as the Mesopotamians.
Romans
This civilization that I leave great contributions in politics and its form of government.
In mathematics did not delve into some branches of mathematics, such as geometry,
which was used to make the temples of the emperors, a clear Roman Coliseum, a
world heritage site.
Mayas
They gave the greatest advance to mathematics, in this period of history mathematics
had the greatest advance, they already used mathematics as applied science through
geometry if it was not an object of reflection with a perfect use of geometry using the
logic, then the academy with more contributions to mathematics, we could say that the
greatest exponent of that civilization as Euclid, Pythagoras and such of Miletus.
