How will judgment be when Jesus comes to complete salvation?

Some may believe that our punishment will come when we are judged in the
afterlife and that God does not punish us in our present existence.

Based on this comment "...our punishment will come when we are judged in the
afterlife and that God does not punish us in our present existence."

According to scripture it is better to receive your punishment now than later; while
you still have life on earth rather than to be judged and receive eternal damnation.
Therefore, everyday we hope for salvation which is to be endured until the end to
receive the reward according to God's promise. Through obedience to his laws we
are given a chance to be justified before God in righteousness. When Jesus returns
there is no more time for us to be justified before God, but judgment and fiery
indignation to those who did not obey his commandments.

Romans 3:3
For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

Romans 3:22
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that
believe: for there is no difference:

even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not
by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Romans 4:11
And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had
yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not
circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Hebrews 13:9
Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be
established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied
therein.

True faith is to believe in all the commandments that are written in the law & the testimony of
Jesus. Through the keeping of his commandments are we established in the grace of God to do
works of righteousness. (John 14:10-15)
But through continual disobedience that grace which was established can be cut off. (Psalm
94:23)

Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the
heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and
another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those
things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Revelation 21:27
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh
abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Therefore our works of righteousness is what allows us to be saved upon the return
of Jesus, but we must do endure until the end (the appearance of Jesus).
