Chandigarh Administration Police Department Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill-up below mentioned 520 vacancies of Constables in Chandigarh Police in the pay scale of Rs. 10300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 3200 plus allowances sanctioned by the Chandigarh Administration from time to time. However in terms of Punjab government Notification No. 7/204/2012-4FPI/60 dated 15.01.2015, adopted by Chandigarh Administration vide No. 28/70-IH(7)-2015/14387 dated 10.07.2015, during probation period "Fixed Monthly Emoluments” equivalent to the minimum of the pay band of the post will be paid and grade pay, increment or any other allowances, except travelling allowance, will not be paid:- Category | Male| Female] Ex: Total | Servicemen General toe] 148 37| 286 OBC 52 | 70 78| 140 8c 35] a7 12 94 Total 193 260 67 520 | ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: (A) Age as on 01.01.2018 * {As on 01.01.2015 means till 2400 Hrs ‘on the 31° day of December of the preceding year} 18-25 years (General Category) (01.01.1990 to 31.12.1996)" 18-28 years (OBC Category) (01.01.1987 to 31.12.1996)" 18-30 years (SC Category) (01.01.1985 to 31.12. 1996)" * * Both days inclusive Relaxation: » Relaxable up to the maximum age of 45 years for Ex- servicemen as on the cut-of date prescribed for the recruitment as on 01.01.2016, provided break in service does not exceed two years from the date of discharge from army as on the cut off date (01.01.2015). 1) Seven years relaxations for Home Guard Volunteers in age provided they are working/on roll continuously for the last 2 years or more, as on 01.01.2018, as under:~ i) With a service of 2 years by 2 years. il) With a service of 3 years by 3 years. il) With a service of 4 years by 4 years. iv) With a service of 5 years by 5 years. vi) With a service of 6 years by 6 years. vii) With a service of 7 years by 7 years. (B) (c) (D) {E) m) Relaxation for wards (sons and daughters only) of working or retired or deceased (except dismissed, compulsory retired or removed from service) Chandigarh Police employees. (i) Serving by 2 years. (ii) Retired (living or deceased) by 2 years. (iil) Died in service by 3 years. Ivy) Departmental candidates upto 40 years. Minimum Educational Hr.Secondary Qualification (10#2 or equivalent) Driving License Valid Driving license (Motor Car & Motor Cycle) is mandatory for all candidates (including Ex-servicemen) of the concerned licensing Authority. As a one time exception for the purpose of this recruitment only. this condition has been waived by IG/Chandigarh in_respect of female candidates only. Height 170 cm (Male) 157.5 cm (Female) Chest (only for male) 84-88 cm (Unexpanded-Expanded) v) vi) i) 5 cm relaxation (either in Height or in Chest) to the wards (sons and daughters only) of working/retired/deceased (except dismissed, compulsory retired or removed from service) Chandigarh Police employees will be available, Not more than two wards (Sons and daughters) will be entitled to claim relaxation in height or chest. ii) 5 cm relaxation in Height (male/female) to the resident of hill area will be available on production of certificate (at the time of Physical Measurement Test) to this effect (Hill Area Certificate) issued by the Competent Authority i.e. DC/DM/SDM or Tehsildar of their place of hill area residence. ili) For claiming relaxations, as above, please consult Standing Order 01/2015 available on the Chandigarh Police website www.chandigarhpolice.nic.in. The cut-of date for age is 01.01.2015. For for all other purposes such as minimum educational qualification, Driving Licence etc. will be treated as on date of online application. SCHEDULE OF FEES: Application fee shall be charged as under:- > General & OBC candidates - - Rs. 500/- > SC & Ex-Servicemen candidates - - ~ Nil NOTE: collection charges or processing fee charged by the bank, payable by the candidates, shall be in addition to the application fee of Rs. 500/-payable to Chandigarh Police. The candidates can also download/print copies of the guidelines/instructions as well as Standing Order from above website of Chandigarh Police. Bulk messages to all candidates or to any defined group of candidates shall be sent from Chandigarh Police bulk SMS id CHGPOL and shall be deemed to be a valid communication from the department Physical Efficiency & Measurement Test (PE&MT) will tentatively start in the month of February, 2016 at Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh and IRB Complex, Sarangpur followed by Written Test, The Schedule for PE&MT will be available on the official website of Chandigarh Police www.chandigarhpolice.nic.in in the month of February, 2016. The candidates are advised to check the schedule for PE&MT in February-2016 on the website of Chandigarh Police. No separate intimation regarding PE&MT will be sent to individual candidates. The selected candidates on their appointment as Constable can be deployed in any unit of Chandigarh Police i.e. Police Lines, Traffic, CID, Operations Cell, Security, Police Stations, IRB etc. etc. and anywhere in India.
