IMPACT OF GREENHOUSE

Effect of greenhouse is a process by which the thermal radiation from the surface of
the planet is absorbed by atmospheric greenhouse gases, and is re-emitted in all direction.
The existence of the greenhouse effect is the argument of Joseph Fourier in 1824. The
argument and evidence was later reinforced by Claude Pouillet in 1827 and 1838, and his
reasoning from experimental observations by John Tyndall in 1859, and more fully calculated
by Svante Arrhenius in 1896. In 1917 Alexander Graham Bell wrote “Uncontrolled burning
of fossil fuels will have some kind of greenhouse effect”, and “The end result is a greenhouse
into a hot house kind”. Bell continues, also advocating for the use of alternative energy
surces, such as solar energy.
Positive Impact of Greenhouse are adding supplies to human needs, encourage new
biodiversity, maintain the survival of wildlife, help create new jobs, to receive assistance and
support from other countries in the effort of environmental conservation, opportunity to
encourage the birth of new fauna or flora, endangered species may develop normally,
interesting green/environmental tourism industry, encourage the increase of human
consciousness of environmental conservation, ensuring the survival of future generations if
the environment is maintained, home gets enlightenment/lighting naturally, reduce the use of
the house, used as one way to reduce cold temperature, so as not to cover the scenery around
the house, as a home aesthetic means. So, in the absence of the greenhouse effect, our earth
will become like a planet mars that has no atmosphere enough to with stand sunlight and heat
energy.
The negative impact of Greenhouse are quality of human health deteriorates, rare
animals are increasingly threatened and extinct, reduce the availability of clean air, increase
the variety of diseases that arise, encourage the occurrence of natural disasters such as floods,
landslides, the temperature of the air is getting worse due to global warming, the survival of
human life is not guaranteed because of the damaged nature condition, absence of green
space for recreation and study, many small islands will be lost due to rising sea levels, worsen
the greenhouse effect, melting of the icy mountains resulting in risingsea levels and extreme
climate change as perceived by the current inhabitants of the earth as snowstorms that hit
Europe, floods in Australia and a number of other countries including Indonesia, the
anomalous weather of snowfall in the summer that occurs in Autralia is also caused by global
warming.
Global warming or earth warming is the increase in the average temperature of the
earth’s atmosphere which causes greenhouse gases, feedback effects, and human activities
such as deforestation, excessive use of fuel oil and the use of gas-rich CFR sprays. Earth
waming has many consequences that impact climate change, rising sea levels, and rising
temperatures. Even the warming of the earth also affect humans because it causes an outbreak
of disease due to hot temperatures, high temperatures can cause crop failure so that it appears
famine. Excessive use of fuel oil should be reduced by switching to environmentally
froiendly fuels such as solar or water energy. The use of motor vehicles should also be
slightly reduced by the use of public transport rather than private vehicles, or may also use a
septate to reduce air pollution. Deforestation should begin to be reduced and shift to tree
plainting activities (reforestation). As more trees grow, the levels of carbon dioxide in the
atmosphere can be reduced.
