OBSERVACIONES GENERALES
2. El verbo lleva siempre un sujeto explícito. No existe el sujeto tácito, como ocurre
en castellano.
VERBOS REGULARES
go, went, gone, ir, fui, ido).
b) Los que tienen dos formas (to find, found, found, encontrar, encontré,
encontrado).
c) Los que tienen una única forma (to read, read, read, leer, leí, leído).
PARTICIPIO PRESENTE

Ours was a terribly cold autumn.
It's hot on the road, but it's cool in here. Hot describe una
temperatura bastante más elevada que warm. Warm es más bien cálido, templado,
generalmente sugiere agradables sensaciones. Veamos estos ejemplos: No puedo beber este
té, está muy caliente para mí. I can't drink this tea, it's too hot for me; ¡Está muy caluroso en esta
oficina! It's too hot in this office! You'll soon warm up if
you come to the kitchen.
semana. Cold and damp weather in California this week.
It's a wet room; Lucy se
empapó durante la tormenta. During the storm, Lucy got absolutely wet.
It's spring. It's summer. It's summer.
It's raining. It's cool. It's warm and sunny. It's very hot and humid.
It's fifty degrees. It's eighty. It's ninety-five.
