Thy physical body that would

methods of torture, Thou, O Martyr,
were refined like gold in fire seven
times over and Purified.
From the morning watch until night;

O Holy, emulating His Death by
death through Martyrdom, Thou now
majestically reign with Him, attired

The Righteous shall flourish like a
palm tree; he shall be multiplied
like the Cedar in Lebanon.
Being arrayed in the panoply of Christ
our God, O George, Thou were found
by those who had not sought for
Thou, while being burnt for the sake
of Christ and ridiculing the soul-
corrupting deceit of useless gods.
Then Thou also cried aloud unto the
lawless men: I am a Soldier of Christ
my King, and neither wild beasts nor
wheels of torture nor fire nor the
sword can ever separate me from the
Love of my Lord and my Saviour, and
Christ our God. Do Entreat Him in

Those planted in the House of the

Courts of our God.
Thou endured the various instruments
