WELD FUME EXTRACTION SYSTEM

We have considered Fume extraction for 18 welding stations at both ends of the buildings as shown in
the layout.

HOOD
Conventional air hoods will be kept in each welding station at height of 2.2 metre from the height in
front of the weld point. The hood position will be placed in such a way that the air flow direction will
assist the natural air flow of fume with slight diversion from the operators face. Continuous air flow
makes sure that the total fume generated at weld point will be succeeding through the hood and
operator will get fresh air from the room.

HOOD MOUNTED MESH FILTER (Primary Filter)

A Mesh Type Replaceable filters will be provided at the hood. This will arrest the spark or fire particles
entering the ducts and act as the primary filter for the system.

EXTRACTION UNIT.
PAINT BOOTH & FUME EXTRACTION SYSTEM

Two Fume Extraction units will be mounted on roof to extract the fumes generated. Each Fume
Extraction System will have Axial Fans of 30,000 Cub. m /hr.

MAIN FILTER BOX.

Each fume handling stations has one Main Filter Box made of suitable cartridge type filter elements.
The Filter box is made of suitably coated steel box construction with 8 sets of cartridge filters to arrest
the smaller particles and carbon particles generated during the welding process. The air emitted from
the filter box will be clean enough to be passed into the normal atmosphere. Being there is no Volatile
Organic Compounds (VOC) in the extracted air, the air is simply dispersed into the atmosphere away

from the possible air intakes of the rooms such that intake air to the room will be contaminated by the
air emitted from the main filter box.

EXTRACTION DUCTS.
A Combination of Galvanized Steel Spiral Would and Fabricated Rectangular ducts of suitable sizes
are considered to connect all ducts to their respective Fume Extraction Filtration Boxes.

All ducts will be mounted as per site condition in suitable manner.

DELIVERY.
Delivery to the site is considered in this quote.

STORING.
Safe storing space for the equipment prior to the installation is to be provided by the client. For
equipment which needs to be stored under shelter to be stored in sheltered area of the client until

installation starts.

CONTROL PANELS.
Necessary control panels designed to use for indoor or roof sheltered place will be supplied. The shelter
for the control panels need to be constructed by the client.

FILED WIRING CABLES.

All cables to interlink the control panels and the equipment are considered by us. All power cables their
routing, accessories, termination and connections to our control panels are the scope of client.

INSTALLATION, TESTING & COMMISSIONING.

Installation at site, testing and commissioning are considered with skilled technicians and engineers
from Euroblast. But all builders work related works are the scope of client.

INSURANCE.
Insurance requirement to be covered under sub-contract agreement as per clients previous work order
has been considered this case for an expense of USD 8700 has been considered by us at cost. Any cost
comes in above that limit will be directly passed on to the client with 15% addition as over head cost.

ELECTRICAL POWER REQUIREMENT.

The power requirement has been approximately estimated around 36-42kW for both the fume
extraction station. The standard design for the system is to run the air handling fans at their full speed
always such that the room air ventilation is constant always.

POWER SAVING (GREEN) CONCEPT DESINGS.

Euroblast could design the total fume handling system with a demand driven power mode. The fans
will be driven at the minimum required speed as per the number of station chosen for welding. In this
mode all the unwanted stations will be closed from air suction and only the station under use will be
selected for extraction. All the stations will be mounted with a motorized damper. The fan speed will be
controlled by closed loop air pressure monitoring and the speed will be regulated automatically to keep
the extraction uniform irrespective of the number of station chosen.

This mode reduces the total power consumed by the fume handling system and the annual electricity
bill will be saved by at least 50%. In addition the filters use will be lesser contaminated and need less
frequent replacement.

In total the running cost of the system will be almost half by this principle and the additional capital
expense for incorporating the green concept control will be retrieved in just 15 months to 2 years

operation depending upon the operation duration per a unit period.

Exclusions from Euroblast' Scopes of works.

(Client's Scope of Works).
a. Construction of Building & doors doesn't include in this scope.
b. Demolition of existing facility, salvaging of respective items, any modifications, Re-fixing, site
clearance etc.
c. Any type of Civil & structural Builders Works, including breakings, rebuilding, re-fabrication of
the building which are needed for the installation of our equipment to suit your building.

d. All Lifting, scaffolding, any other Handling Equipment required during delivery during
downloading, storage and installation.
e. Power supply to the Electrical Control Panel to be provided by client, their shelter rooms, lighting
in the shelter room and air conditioning if necessary for the control panels.
f. Local office, water, electricity, compressed air, etc are to be arranged by the client for the
installation and commissioning.
g. Space for technicians to rest during summer months as per UAE labour law.
h. Any approvals required to be obtained from local Authorities prior to construction and after the
installation.
i. Any other third party inspections or material testing if applicable.
j. Prompt approval of Design drawings related with execution of project.
