History
1992 SIVECO Romania SRL is established.
1994 The company begins to develop its own information system called Integrated SIVECO
Applications, one of the most valuable ERP applications (Enterprise Resource Planning),
perfectly adapted to the Romanian market.
1997 SIVECO Romania was transformed from a Limited Liability Company into a Joint
Stock Company.
1998 Participation in consortium in the first large scale project, the largest developed in
Romania so far - Introducing IT to the Maritime Ports Administration Constanta.
2000 The AeL eLearning solution is launched (the computer-assisted learning designed for the
pre-university system).
2003 The AeL eTraining solution (computer-aided learning for organizations) and SIVECO
Applications 2007 (international version of the system) are launched.
The project of the Unique Integrated Information System for the National Health
Insurance House kicks off.
2004 Signing partnerships for international distribution and consolidating strategic
partnerships.
The portfolio of Romanian clients expands and reaches over 300 large organizations.
2005 Intel Capital and Polish Enterprise Fund V (investment fund managed by Enterprise
Investors) become shareholders of SIVECO Romania, achieving the most significant
investment in a Romanian software company to date.
2006 The project of introducing IT to APIA (The Payment and Intervention Agency for
Agriculture) kicks off.
SIVECO Romania participates in the implementation of the integrated information system
for the National Health Insurance Fund in Bulgaria.
2007 The company runs many major international projects: the ADLIC type IT based
distribution project in high schools from Lebanon; eLearning pilot project in Republic of
Moldova; a portal that facilitates communication within the national education system in the
United Arab Emirates.
2008 SIVECO Romania acquires Latona Bulgaria (the first Romanian company to purchase a
foreign software company).
SIVECO Balanced Scorecard and iTAX Collect applications are launched.
The project for introducing IT to the education system in rural areas kicks off.
2009 SIVECO Romania launches the new version of the integrated package SIVECO
Applications 2011.
SIVECO Romania launches Agricultural Register, an integrated module for unit records of
households within a city, land, farm inputs and livestock.
eCustoms solution is implemented for National Custom Authority of Turkey.
The company is re-certified by AFAQ AFNOR for ISO 9001:2008 standard.
The first public Social Responsibility Report of SIVECO Romania is awarded with the Ruban
d'Honneur, for the category Award for Corporate Sustainability, the European Business
Award (Rome).
2010 SIVECO Romania becomes the main supplier of IT solutions for the Ministry of
Education in the Kingdom of Morocco, within a strategic program at national level for
introducing IT into the education system.
Launching SIUI 2 for CNAS.
The eAgriculture solution developed and implemented by SIVECO Romania at the
Payments and Interventions Agency for Agriculture (APIA) won the big prize in the Vertical
Market category.
SIVECO Romania has successfully concluded implementation of the SIVABON system at
the Credit Bureau in Republic of Moldova, certified by the receipt of the functional
acceptance letter from the beneficiary.
eLearning platform and digital content for Cyprus school.
Pilot project - digital content - for 20 schools in Moldova.
Starting new structural funds projects.
2011 New contracts with European Union's institutions: The Publications Office of the
European Union and the Executive Agency for Health and Consumers.
Launch of the eCustoms NCTS solution at the customs in Macedonia.
SIVADOC solution is implemented in Chisinau City Hall.

ADLIC, the application for computerized distribution in high-school, is migrated to the

2012 A new office in the commercial center of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai, is opened.
Software Innovative Vision focuses on subcontracting and integrating projects in Gulf
countries.
A strategic partnership is signed with the Political Studies School NUR Otan in Kazakhstan.
SIVECO Romania is awarded with the Platinum Medal within the European Seal of e-
Excellence 2012, for its innovative IT products and services and execllence in marketing
practices.
The company is also a Winner in the European Software Excellence Awards, with the projects
"Supporting the special educational system through dedicated educational portal",
implemented for the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sports in Romania. Within
the same competition, 3 of our projects are finalists: New Computerized Transit System
(NCTS) implemented for the Turkey Customs Administration, SIVECO Applications
implemented for Kathrein Romania and eSchool portal, implemented for the Ministry of
Education, Research, Youth and Sports in Romania.
The fourth edition of the Corporate Social Responsibility Report is launched.
2013 SIVECO Romania becomes "Winner" at the European IT & Software Excellence
Awards 2013 for 3 projects:
Implementation of the processing system for Rural Development Applications at the Payment
Agency for Rural Development and Fishery, Solution Provider/Government Solution of the
Year category
Implementation of a financial reporting system for the banking sector in Republic of Moldova,
developed for the National Bank, Solution provider / Vertical Solution of the Year category
Implementation of the ERP System SIVECO Applications 2020 at ACET Suceava, ISV -
ERP/Supply Chain Management Solution category.
The solution dedicated to managers, SIVECO Business Analyzer, is a true dashboard
wherefrom they can access multi-criteria analyses reflecting the company’s performance. From
now on, the company dashboard can be accessed also from mobile devices (for example iPad,
iPhone).
SIVECO Romania was designated one of Europe’s 20 Fastest Growing and Most Innovative e-
Learning Companies within EdTech 20 competition, organized by Edxus Group, London.
The ERP System SIVECO Applications 2020 was implemented at Black Sea Terminal
(Georgia), owned by SOCAR, one of the largest oil companies in the world.
SIVECO Romania signed two contracts with the Ministry of Education in Malta in order to
provide interactive digital content adjusted to the requirements of the Maltese Primary and
Secondary School Curriculum.
Within the competition dedicated to the best projects worldwide, organized by the International
Project Management Association (IPMA), within the Medium-Sized Project category, two
eLearning projects were awarded with:
Gold Medal for “Educational process optimized from the perspective of knowledge society
competences” , implemented by the Ministry of Education through Management Unit of
Externally Financed Projects, in partnership with SIVECO and the National Defense University
"Carol I".
Bronze Medal for "Development of interactive multimedia educational content for the
educational system in Kazakhstan".
The first digital manuals elaborated by specialists in psycho-pedagogy and education experts
were finished. The manuals have been developed based on the national curricula for each
subject matter in part. Upon carrying out the interactivity elements, both the characteristics
specific to tablets as mobile technology, but also the most recent worldwide research on scholar
psycho-pedagogy have been taken into consideration.
For the project "Special schools Portal - CES - Interactive multimedia educational content for
children with special educational needs", SIVECO receives the highest award ever granted to
an IT project at worldwide level: World Summit Award Winner 2013.
The company opens its 5th international office, at Ankara, Turkey, and the 3rd in Asia.
SIVECO Romania management redeems the full package of shares from Enterprise Investors
and Intel Capital.

According to the latest market analysis published by International Data Corporation (IDC) for
2014, SIVECO ranks second place in IT Services Market ranking, with a market share of 6%.

SIVECO Romania's investments in its employees are of great importance. Through human resources
policy SIVECO aim at recruiting the best specialists on the labor market, at ensuring motivating work
conditions and the possibility for continuous improvement by providing staff with training courses in
Romania and abroad. SIVECO Romania is a young and ambitious team, who gave each year the
measure of its excellence in the IT field.
Every year, SIVECO organizes internal and external training courses for employees.
The annual training plan is drawn up together with the managers and is focused on the development of
those competencies that the employee is using intensively in his/her activity. A course takes, in
average 2 to 5 days.
The IT activity is a dynamic one, often very demanding for employees, while enjoyable work
conditions are important for the quality of their work.
In 2013, SIVECO had 1,000 employees at international level, of which 822 were employed at the
headquarters in Bucharest, distributed as follows:

Potrivit Institului de Tehnică de Calcul, datele pentru anul 2011 arată că numărul de angajaţi din
companiile care furnizează servicii software a crescut cu 2.100, până la nivelul de 58.500 de angajaţi,
Potrivit estimărilor ANIS, pentru satisfacerea nevoilor companiilor din IT, ar fi nevoie de un număr
dublu de absolvenţi.
In anul 2012 Cele mai mari 50 de companii de software din România şi-au continuat expansiunea,
ajungând la 15.500 de angajaţi, cu aproape 2.700 mai mulţi decât în anul 2011 .Cifra de afaceri
cumulată a celor 50 de companii a fost în 2012 de 657 mil. euro, în creştere cu 14% faţă de anul
precedent, cei mai mari jucători fiind Oracle România – subsidiara gigantului software American cu o
cifra de afaceri de 105,2 mil. euro cu un numar mediu de angajati de 2184 şi producătorul local
SIVECO cu o cifra de 46,3 mil euro cu un numar mediu de angajati de 1149(anexa 1 tabel 1)
In anul 2013 cel mai mare angajator din industria de soft şi servicii IT este HP Geboc, raportat la
numărul de angajaţi pe care îi avea în România , următoarele două locuri in top fiind ocupate de
Oracle şi IBM. Cele trei companii americane care conduc în top au împreună peste 6.600 de
angajaţi.In acest clasament SIVECO se afla in 2013 pe locul 9(anexa 2 tabel 2)
In 2014 cele mai mari 50 de companii de software din Romania au avut afaceri de aproape 4,4
miliarde de lei (990 mil euro), mai mult cu 906 de milioane de lei (203 mil euro) fata de 2013, ca
urmare a cererii puternice de solutii IT, in special din strainatate,
De asemenea, profitul net al acestora a crescut cu aproape 78,3 de milioane de lei (17,6 mil. euro),
pana la aproximativ 305,5 milioane de lei (68,7 mil. euro), iar numarul de angajati a crescut cu 2.438
de persoane. Astfel, cele mai mari 50 de companii de soft au avut in 2014 18.885 de salariati.
Liderul domeniului a ramas Oracle Romania, filiala grupului american avand afaceri de 703,4
milioane de lei,un profit net de 8,9 milioane de lei si un numar mediu de 2.470 de angajati. In prezent
Oracle are in jur de 3.500 de salariati in centrele pe care le detine in Bucuresti.
Pe de alta parte, cele mai profitabile companii anul trecut au fost Bitdefender, SAP si Endava.
Bitdefender a avut un profit net de 42,5 milioane de lei. Dintre cele mai mari 50 de companii de
software, doar doi jucatori au inregistrat pierderi: SIVECO, respectiv Misys International Financial
Systems.
De asemenea, cei mai mari angajatori din domeniu sunt Oracle, Endava, Ubisoft si Gameloft, toate
avand peste o mie de salariati.(anexa 3 tabel 3)
SIVECO evolution
Daca in 2010, compania număra 750 de angajaţi, iar la sfârşitul lui 2011 aproximativ 1.200. Această creştere
importantă a fost determinată de numărul mare de proiecte interne şi internaţionale derulate în România şi în
ţări din Comunitatea Europeană, Orientul Mijlociu, Africa de Nord şi spaţiul Comunităţii Statelor
Independente. Tot în 2011, sunt extinse numărul punctelor de lucru la 8, deschizând două noi birouri în
Ploieşti şi în Braşov, pe lângă Constanţa, Galaţi, Timişoara, Craiova, Iaşi şi Cluj
Evoluţia SIVECO Romania pe piaţa soluţiilor EAS
În anul 2014 SIVECO s-a aflat în topul furnizorilor de soluții pentru managementul afacerilor,
deţinând o cotă de 25.5% din piața locală de EAS (Enterprise Application Suite). De asemenea,
compania a ocupat primul loc pe piaţa soluțiilor dedicate întreprinderilor (Enterprise Resource
Management), cu o cotă de 29.8% și pe poziții de top pe următoarele segmente de piaţă: Business
Analytics (19% ) și Supply Chain Management (26.8%). În 2015, această evoluţie pozitivă a continuat
SIVECO a ocupat locul al 2-lea pe piață furnizorilor de servicii IT din România (IT Services Market)
cu o cotă de 5.4%.
Conform Studiului IDC, IT Services & EAS,in 2015, Poziția pe piață a SIVECO ERA:
› Primul loc pe segmentul soluțiilor dedicate întreprinderilor (Enterprise Resource Management)
› Locul 2 pe piața de Business Analytics
› Locul 1 pe segmentul licențe și întreținere Supply Chain Management
› Unul dintre furnizorii de vârf de servicii IT
› Locul 1 pe piața de support și instalare software
› Locul 1 pe piața integrării software
› Unul dintre furnizorii de vârf pe segmentul instruire și educație în IT
Strategia de dezvoltare a SIVECO România are ca element central realizarea de soluţii inovative,
menite să reducă discriminarea și decalajul digital într-un mod responsabil și transparent. Această
abordare a fost validată de cei peste 1700 de clienți ai noştri din 27 de ţări ale lumii. În anul 2015, SIVECO
România a făcut faţă cu succes unei duble provocări. Pe de o parte, confruntarea cu dificultăţile de piaţă. Dacă
la nivel național declinul a fost provocat de încheierea primei perioade de programare a fondurilor europene,
la nivel internațional, stagnarea a fost cauzată de fluctuația prețului petrolului
Tot ca parte din strategia de dezvoltare durabila a companiei, in 2016, SIVECO Romania s-a alaturat si misiunii
„Calculeaza amprenta de carbon”, proiect initiat de Asociatia ZeroCO2, pentru asumarea si raportarea
responsabilitatii impactului asupra mediului,
SIVECO Romania este printre primele companii din tara noastra care au decis sa monitorizeze si sa raporteze
in mod transparent volumul emisiilor de gaze cu efect de sera (GES). Dupa calcularea si raportarea emisiilor de
GES (gaze cu efect de sera) aferente activitatii sale operationale, SIVECO a facut, in 2017, urmatorul pas spre o
politica completa de responsabilitate fata de mediu si si-a compensat amprenta de carbon prin sustinerea
unui proiect de energie eoliana din Romania – Topolog Wind Power. Demersurile SIVECO Romania pentru o
atitudine responsabila fata de mediul inconjurator includ o gama larga de activitati, precum: achizitionarea de
masini cu consum mic de combustibil, diminuarea consumului de energie electrica, implementarea unui
sistem de colectare selectiva a deseurilor. Efectele cuantificabile ale acestor masuri au avut rezultate pozitive
directe asupra mediului.

PREMII
e-a lungul celor 25 de ani de existenta, compania a fost recompensata cu peste 200 de premii interne si
internationale.
P remiile au fost acordate pentru proiecte de eBanking, eAgriculture si Enterprise Resource Planning.
proiectele dezvoltate la Agentia de Plati pentru Dezvoltare Rurala si Pescuit, Banca Nationala a
Moldovei si ACET Suceava. In finala competitiei au intrat 64 de companii din 15 tari. SIVECO
Romania a primit nu mai putin de 5 nominalizari pentru tot atatea implementari de succes ale
solutiilor sale de eLearning, eAgriculture, Enterprise Resource Planning si eBanking.
