Reliability/QA. He has a multi-
disciplinary background in Thermal
Engineering and Electromagnetics, and has held both
technical and management positions in Systems
Engineering, Architecture, Strategic Planning and
Business Development.
Parameswaran is currently an
Engineering Manager with Delphi
Electronics & Safety at Technical
Center India, Bangalore. He is a Center
of expertise leader for Asia Pacific
Region, currently leading
Electromagnetic Compatibility
compliance, electronics product design, Thermal
Validation and Reliability testing for automotive
electronics. He has twenty-five years of industry
experience leading multi-disciplinary cross-functional
teams across organizations in automotive, avionics,
defense, and telecom and space electronics for both

Demonstration of cooling solution for electronic system
Established in Bangalore in 2000, Delphi India's
Technical Centre India (TCI) has grown rapidly and has
emerged as the largest Delphi technical center outside
of the United States. TCI complements Delphi's strong
manufacturing base in India and in the rest of the Asia July 15-16, 2010
Pacific region. Delphi India's TCI handles Advanced

Introduction
Majority of field failures in electronics equipment are
due to high temperature. Inadequate cooling always
results in higher component temperature leading to
failures. With miniaturization of micro-electronics and
demand for small product form, heat flux on devices are
on rise and thermal design has become a critical factor
in electronics equipment. Thermal design aspects, if
considered well in advance, can help in avoiding time
and cost over-runs in critical product development and
ensure better reliability.
Course Objective
The objective of the course is to provide participants
with a practical understanding of the concepts and
guidelines for thermal management in electronic
equipment. The scope of the course will span from
printed circuit board and equipment level to enclosure
level heat transfer, addressing thermal design problems
and solutions using simple cooling methods.
