Providing for the creation of a Government Printing Office

The delegate from the Federation of Southern Aurgediam submitted the following joint
resolution to the Assembly of All

JOINT RESOLUTION
Providing for the creation of a Government Printing Office
Resolved by the Parliament and Assembly of All of the Union of Londinium in the
Legislature assembled, ​That there shall be established a Government Printing Office, that shall
have the responsibility of formatting and providing to the Legislature of Londinium all bills
submitted therein.

SECTION 2. THE CHIEF CLERK

And be it further enacted, ​That there shall be established the position of the Chief Clerk
of the Legislature of Londinium, who shall bear the responsibility of faithfully executing the
duties of the Government Printing Office.

SECTION 3. STAFF

And be it further enacted,​ That the Chief Clerk of the Legislature of Londinium shall
have the power to employ up to three Deputy Clerks to assist them in the execution of the duties
of the Government Printing Office.

SECTION 4. BILL SUBMISSION

And be it further enacted,​ That all bills submitted to the Assembly of All and the
Parliament of the Union of Londinium shall first be provided to the Government Printing Office
for formatting, and that following formatting the Chief Clerk or a Deputy Clerk shall submit the
bill to the forum of its respective house.
SECTION 5. SUBFORUMS

And be it further enacted,​ That there shall be established within the offsite forum a
subforum entitled “Law Library,” where all public laws shall be stored for the viewing
convenience of the general public, and a subforum entitled “Government Printing Office,” where
unformatted bills shall be submitted to the Government Printing Office by members of the
Legislature.

SECTION 6. REPORTS

And be it further enacted,​ That on the 4th day of each month, the Chief Clerk of the
Government Printing Office shall submit to the legislature a report detailing the work done in the
previous month.

SECTION 7. FORMATTING

And be it further enacted, ​That the Chief Clerk, in concurrence with two other Deputy
Clerks, shall have the power to establish an official format for bills submitted to the Legislature,
which shall be published in the monthly report of the Chief Clerk to the Legislature.

SECTION 8. VIOLATIONS

And be it further enacted, ​That if the Chief Clerk or a Deputy Clerk shall deliberately
attempt to modify the content of a bill submitted to the Legislature, he shall; upon conviction
thereof by any court of competent jurisdiction, be punished by removal from their office and
banment for a maximum of two weeks.
