The simulation was conducted between 2Mbps and 10Mbps LAN links in that order, in order
to examine the variation of file sizes with the current workload (bandwidth). First, files of
various sizes (500Kb, 1000Kb, 1500Kb,3200Kb, 4000Kb, 4800Kb, 5600Kb, 7200Kb) were sent
from a file server to a LAN workstations. The delay was measured in (milliseconds). The
numbers of simultaneous connections (varying 1user, 2 users, 4users, 5 users, 7users and 10
users,) were connected making sure all of them were downloading files simultaneously from
the file server. The corresponding values of bandwidth and latency recorded. Then, graphs of
the results were plotted and analyzed as follows:
a. Varying the Data Transfer rate (File size) with changing bandwidth (File size)
b. Varying the Data transfer rate (File size) with varying the Delay(Latency)

It was noted that increase in the number of users had a corresponding increase in file sizes
that resulted in an increase in the network throughput.

As the file size increases, the bandwidth increases. There was no network congestion as
volume of traffic increases, thereby causing a somewhat high throughput resulting in a good
network performance
