ABSTRACT
The seismic responses on plan irregularity are studied. Three multistoried
buildings (Regular shaped, L- shaped, C-shaped), different in plan are taken
having almost equal weight and modeled in STAAD-Pro for different soil type,
earthquake zone &for different load combination as per IS 1893-2002.

All the buildings are modeled as “Ordinary moment resisting frame”. Only the
equivalent static load method is considered to analyze the structures. The
maximum displacement for each storey is computed.

The graphs are plotted on the displacements of different storey levels for
different soil conditions and for different earthquake severity zones in a
comparative way. The vulnerability comparison between these structures is also
done with the mostly probable combinations of different soil stratums and
earthquake zones. The storey drift comparisons for different structures are also
represented graphically and all probable reasons are written as conclusion.
