Kendra Krueger is an award winning engineer, science philosopher and educational facilitator. She has crafted a
truly intersectional approach to science and education through her experience as an electrical engineer,
mindfulness coach, and social justice advocate.

She founded 4Love + Science, a workshop and educational

program designed to arm young professionals and students
with the tools to develop new modes of thinking and existing
in a complex world. Krueger believes that science can be a
tool for personal liberation, allowing individuals to actively
observe and question our inner world. This precious balance
of scientific method and mindfulness can unlock the
capacities of our conscious and unconscious mind. Through a
collection of approachable activities and facilitator tools,
Krueger utilizes the scientific method to help people
comfortably approach the issues we are facing in society –
from diversity and inclusion to sustainability and regenerative
regenerative design. In 2017 she won the Consciousness in
Action Award from the insitutute of Noetic Sciences for her
work at the intersections of science and social justice.

The Thermodynamics of Love, Truth and Justice

What do social justice and physics have in common? Dynamics. Energy dynamics. Thermodynamics studies how
systems with different energies reconcile together. The social justice movements of today asks us to do the same.
We as individuals, as particle-wave beings, as communities with different experiences, trauma and love have to
come together to live, heal and grow. Perhaps then, there may be some inspiration from each of these wisdom
schools to guide on another. In this interactive workshop we will playfully weave through the art and science of
entropy, kinetics, liberation theory and restorative justice. Join us on this journey of reconciliation.

The Particle and The Wave: A Workshop at the Intersection of Physics and Identity
We are taught to be solid. To have solid identities. Race, gender and other social identities are discreet and
reductionist approaches to categorizing identity. But can we also be wave-like? Amorphous and fluid. According
to quantum physics we can be both. In this workshop we will explore parables of quantum physics that can
inspire us to develop radical definitions of identity. We effectively become both the observed and observer as we
witness the co-creation of new dimensions of self.

Science of and For the People

In physics, Power = Force over time. In society, Power = Influence over resources. Who has the influence over our
knowledge systems and what effective does that have on the knowledge created? In this workshop we will
unpack scientific narratives that stem directly out of oppressive cultural patterns. We will look at how these
patterns have ostracized wisdom and scientific insight from non-westernized cultures and traditions. With this
new lens and interactive activities participants can discover how to reclaim the scientific method as a tool for their
own personal liberation.

Science for a Post Capitalism Society

With all the impending doom on the scientific community, most recently with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, can and
should we begin to imagine new futures for science? Yes, it’s easy to imagine the dystopic futures but could we
also consider what positive alternatives might emerge? As our academic and research institutions lose more
funding and accessibility how will we continue to do the work we care about? Mathematically speaking, times of
great uncertainty are also times of great possibility. But in order for these possibilities to become realities we have
to start with visioning, dialogue and organizing around what those futures look like.
