ANALOG PRELIMINARY ASSIGNMENT

TYPE A

1. High pass filter is a filter that allows high frequency signal, but weaken the signal with
frequency that is below the cutoff frequency.
Low pass filter is the opposite of High Pass filter, it allows low frequency signal, but
weaken the signal with frequency that is above the cutoff frequency.
The use of High pass filter is usually to be used as a part of an audio crossover to direct
high frequencies to a tweeter while attenuating bass signals that could damage the
speaker. The use of Low pass filter is usually in the subwoofers to block high pitches
that the speaker cant efficiently reproduce.

2. Operational amplifier (Op-Amp) is a high-gain amplifier integrated in an IC chip that

has two inputs, inverting and non-inverting with an output terminal, where feedback
circuits can be added to control the overall response characteristics of the amplifier
operation (Op- Amp). Basically operational amplifier (Op-Amp) is a differential
amplifier that has 2 inputs and 1 output.
The working principle of an operational Amplifier (Op-Amp) is to compare the value
of both input (inverting input and non-inverting input), if both inputs are equal, then
the Op-amp output is absent (zero) and if there is a difference in both input values, -
amp will give the output voltage.
Op-Amps are widely used in electronic devices as amplifiers, sensors, amplifying
sounds, amplifying signals, and integrating signals.

3. The function of the non-inverting amplifier is to amplify AC or DC signals with outputs

that remain in the same phase with their input signals.

4. Known : V in = 2,5 v Rf = 44000 ohm Ri = 10000 ohm

Non inverting amplifier : = ( + 1) ()

44000
= ( + 1) (2,5)
10000
= 13,5

13,5
= = 5,4
2,5
