ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We would like to express our special thanks of gratitude to our beloved professor for
imparting his knowledge on the topics and concepts covered in the subject of Electronics 1
Laboratory. Such impartations have made this prototype design a possibility as well as a success
both economical and in construction; and since without enough suffice understanding on the
concepts of the course, the group wouldnt be able to construct, improve, and develop the given
prototype. Additionally, the revisions and modifications he suggested were critical to the
precision and accuracy of the output. We would also like to thank ourselves as group for giving
each other supports to commence and complete this project as well as Jay Ramon C. Ticzon a
friend that gave us the idea on how the process will work and giving us the motivation in
developing this project by telling the positive outcome, and also Marron Amarrante for sharing
and lending us his materials and tools. Second we would like to thank our friends, specially our
parents that gave their full support to accomplish this project on time. Lastly, we would like to
thank our beloved God by giving us power and strength and by also supporting us in many
situations while performing. We hope that this project is helpful not only to us members of the
group but also to the student that may find our project useful for their future sources. We are
making this project not only for grade but also to enhance our knowledge and skills as future
engineers.

Description

The purpose of this project is to accomplish a requirement and to enhance our knowledge
in Electronics Laboratory 1. Our project consist a complete process in converting an AC voltage
to a DC voltage by different processes. Our project is like an electric component charger that
gets voltage to the outlet that generate AC voltage while the charger adaptor will convert the
incoming voltage to DC voltage and flow to the electric component to receive the constant
voltage needed. After finishing all experiment in the laboratory we are required to create a
project using the knowledge taught to us by our professor. By having an input the voltage of
220V, it should flow to the bridge rectifier. This rectifier removes the negative waveform and
getting all positive waves as the output by allowing a current to flow through it in one direction
only. After which, the voltage will flow to the next station which is the capacitor, we need a
1000 F capacitor to filter the output from the rectified voltage, it removes and decrease the wave

into a small ripple that charges and discharges electric charge and stored in it, whenever the it
goes a forward bias it starts charging and shares enough charge to the system after charging. It
also used for phase shifting. The result should be a DC voltage. however, the voltage is not
completely a DC voltage output. Lastly by using regulators or the resistors it will now
completely remove all ripples into a straight line without wave. It will regulate the amount of
power output and maintain a constant voltage level. The resistor used in the project is an
experimental resistor that was analyzed to generate the required DC voltage outputs which are
5V, 10V 15V and 20V output.
