As pointed out in the comments of the video when the "wrong pass code" of 000000
"works" he actually inputs 000080, which I'd bet was the actual pass code.

And there are comments insisting that it works regardless of the number entered.

Tell me which you believe, given that one is evidential (it can clearly be seen) and one
isn't(baseless assertions by YouTube commenters) and I can decide whether I can
take anything you say seriously or not.

I don't believe anything, as I haven't seen any concrete proof.

Having not seen any proof otherwise, and as of now no credible proof of any bypass
of activation lock being presented, a rational observer might draw a conclusion.

Solver This YouTuber creates a lot of Apple product related videos. I watch his videos a lot. #9
He is about as legit as they come. I trust that he thinks there is a real problem. I

suspect there is.

Entering an 8 doesn't necessarily invalidate his claim that any incorrect passcode
will allow you to bypass the lock. As far as I know this youtuber doesn't generally
post fake videos so I don't feel condent enough to make an assumption. This may
or may not be real.

If he was actually correct then he did a TERRIBLE job of demonstrating it. His
Jun 13, 2016 attempts at demonstrating "any" wrong pass code completely failed until he entered
000080. Until shown otherwise the only logical conclusion is that 000080 was
actually the passcode. Given the evidence presented I'm not sure why anyone would
even give the benet of the doubt to this. The fact that he makes Apple related
videos doesn't really lend any credence - lots of people do because they get clicks.

There have been lock bugs and so on in iOS very occasionally but I'm going to need
way better evidence to take this seriously.

In the rst video he enters 80808080 to show it doesn't work then 08080808 and it
does. The passcode was clearly the latter. You have to be a total sucker not to
notice this.

The second video I'm not even sure what a pre-entered passcode was supposed to
demonstrate.

Total garbage presented so far.

djcristi what i don't understand if after activation it turns FMI off or only bypasses #16
activation.
macrumors member

Oct 20, 2013 because on ofcial method (entering the good password) it turns FMI off , as it's
explained on Apple website: "If you have iOS 11 or later, your device uses Touch ID,
Bucharest , Romania
and your account is protected with two-factor authentication, you can turn off
Activation Lock with your device Passcode. Tap Unlock with Passcode, then tap Use
Device Passcode."
