INTRO (10 MIN)- at the beginning of class I will take attendance then have the students write
down one thing they know about WWII and have a short discussion in class about what they
already know.
Teacher directed (20 min)- after we have discussed what they already know I will lead a Power
Point that teaches the students how each country got evolved in WWII and the reasons why (such
as the bombing on Pearl harbor that caused America to join). then we will watch a short video
about each country entering on YouTube. Then I will let each student pick a partner for the next
part of the lesson.
Collaborative (15 min)- Students will each pick a partner if there are an odd amount we will
have one group of three and each will be given a country and they will use the internet/ textbooks
to find three reasons why that country entered the war for about 7-8 min then we will go around
the room sharing the information that they found with the class.
Independent digital study (10 min)- the whole class will participate in a kahoot review session
about why, how and when each country got involved the top 5 students will get extra credit on
the next test that they take. This will be a good way to see where each student stands on this
knowledge. Https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/kahoot-play-learning-games/id1131203560?mt=8
Closure (5 min)- to close class we will have a quick 4 question pop quiz based on what they
learned it will not be hard as long as they pay attention during the teacher lead part of the lesson
they will be fine. This is to ensure that they are paying attention during class.

YouTube video- The video crash course world history #38. This is a fun video giving the
information needed in a less boring way then it would normally be given.
Kahoot- this app lets each student see and question and answer it via multiple choice it is great
