Students are able to add two single digits up to 20.

Lesson Objectives: These must be SMART objectives specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time bound
By the end of the lesson, students will be (better) able to

Discover the double of numbers up to 20.

Evaluation / Assessment: (How will you know your students have achieved the goal?)
(How will you evaluate the objectives that were identified? Have students practiced what you are asking them to do for
evaluation?)
- Using the checklist.
- Observe students working on the activities.

Supporting activities:
Description of activities:

Description of activity 1:
Talk to your partner. Students will discuss with each other about finding the double of some numbers. Student
A will represent a number with his/her fingers and student B should imitate the same number and then swap
roles with new numbers.

Learning Outcome(s):
Students will get to discover the concept of doubling.

Description of activity 2:
Doubling the students. The students will move outside and be divided into two groups. The teacher will choose
one student from group A ,than one student from group B to double the number ( one). The teacher will then
repeat with different number of students.
Learning Outcome(s):
Recognize the doubling numbers.

Description of activity 3:
Add math equation. The students will get a card with an addition question ( depending to their ability) then
they will solve it.
Learning Outcome(s):
Enhance students to add in finding the double numbers.

Description of activity 4:
Look for your card. Students will get a box and question cards. They will take the cards and try to solve using
the cubes.
( What number is double 2,3,4,5,6,7)
- Easy level.
Solve your cards. Students will have four cards, hung it up on a rope. They will solve the cards without s cubes.
( What number is double 2,3,4,5,6,7)
- Hard level.
Learning Outcome(s):
Students will choose the activity they think they can solve Scaffold students to a higher level.

Reflection:

1. Once I got into the lesson, I felt more comfortable. I attract the students' attention
when I change my voice during the opening part.
2. Applying the learning activities, allow the students to get more chance to practice on
doubling.
3. The students were able to answer the critical thinking questions from the checklist, they
respond to the questions easily.
4. Unfortunately, I wasnt monitoring the time after the first two activities, and we spent
so much time that we had to rush through the other activities because, I spend much
time on telling the story.
5. Next time, I will avoid applying differentiation activities because, this limited the
students ability.
