Table 1 shows the magnitude of power flows, Table 2 gives mass flow and property data each stream
and Table 3 shows capital cost of the system.

Stablish the engineering model.


Calculate the exergy destruction rate in each component of the combined-cycle power plant.
Based on the exergy destruction rate determine which component performs worst in the system
from exergy perspective and suggest ways for reducing exergy destruction rate.
Conduct a specific exergy cost (SPECO) analysis and calculate cost rate ( ) and unit cost () of
each stream system. For your analysis stablish adequate references and refer costs to the cost
of natural gas in Colombia nowadays.
How was stablished the capital costs? Explain. Also, based on the fact that capital costs were
amortized over 20 years, and the per-second costs are based on 7500 h per year of system
operation, could you estimate the present value of each equipment?
Draw your own conclusions based on the results (this is the most important part).
