TK: Samsung is one of the probably well-known companies in the world

E: Starting from the scratch as a small trading company
R: Samsung has evolved to a world-class corporation

M: As we all know, Samsung is one of the toughest competitor in the smartphones industry
V: with Apple, LG, Sony, and many more
E: Samsung topped the rankings for having the best smartphones each year
R: But does that mean their smartphones are perfect as it is? (inext yung ppt slide)
TK: One of their latest smartphones, which is the Galaxy Note 7, was released in August 19,
2016 in the US and Australia
All: BUT!
M: Samsung is facing an issue with Galaxy Note 7 phones
E: that have a high propensity of batteries failing
R: leading to personal and property damage
V: This failure is shown in this picture (next yung ppt slide ulit)

M: Several weeks after this issue was known to the public


R: There are additional cases with the same problems (next yung ppt slide ulit)
V: There is this note 7 that smokes in a cabin on an airplane,
E: a note 7 that explodes in a jeepney,
TK: a note 7 that covered the room with a smoke while the owner is sleeping,
M: a note 7 that explodes in a hotel room
E: and many more
V: These issues alarmed the owners of the said smartphone (next yung ppt slide ulit then
aalis na muna lahat except mike bilang starter before time context)
TK: Based on the research, there were 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7 that were manufactured by
Samsung, and approximately 1 million of these were sold worldwide. Out of the units sold,
there were 35 reported incidents of overheating, smoking, and exploding smartphones.
