November 13, 2017, Miami, FL. Three Grand Prix, more than 120 trophies, 11 winning
offices, the three Best Agencies of Ibero-America, and four of the Best Local Agencies
and Creatives, were just some of the recognitions that the Latina Network received
during the 20-year celebration of El Ojo de Iberoamrica Festival, which was held this
past November 8, 9 and 10 in the city of Buenos Aires.
After a tough competition, Africa was awarded as the Best Agency in Ibero-America
and Sergio Gordilho as the Best Creative in the region, followed by Alma DDB by only a
three-point difference and DM9DDB in third place. This is how DDB Latina swept all
three Best Ibero-American Agency recgonitions.
Africa, Alma DDB, and DM9DDB each took home a Grand Prix for various work such as
Inequality Courts for ESPN, Spanish Lessons for Netflix, and Price on the Jersey
for Walmart in the Sustainable, Interactive and, Promo and Activation categories,
respectively.
Africa, Alma DDB, DDB Puerto Rico, and DDB Centro Guatemala, took the title of Best
Local Agency, while Luis Miguel Messianu, Alvar Suol, Kike Renta, Jorge Solrzano
and Julin Nez were recognized as the Best Creatives in their respective markets. In
addition, DDB Puerto Rico and DDB Centro Guatemala took the award for Best Local
Idea.
While Africa, Alma DDB, and DM9DDB won most of the awards, DDB Argentina, DDB
Spain, Fahrenheit DDB Peru, DDB Centro, DDB Colombia, Puerto Rico, Tribal Peru, and
Madison DDB Costa Rica also contributed with impressive recognitions, which were
represented in golds, silver, and bronzes.
This sweep is representative of DDB Latinas position as the pioneering Network uniting
the Latin markets of the worldunder a unique vision inspired by culture, not
geographyrecognized for the first time as the Best Network in Ibero-America.

product," said Sergio Gordilho.

achievement to be in the place it deserves," said Luis Miguel Messianu, Creative

today we are competing for the top rank throughout Ibero-America. It is a testimony to
