Introduction
employee health satisfaction in the workplace. The following assessment will cover a total of
five different domains: Social, emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and nutritional health
aspects of the workplace. The goal for CBA is to reflect on these scores in order to determine
Method
CBA has based this assessment partly on the Centers for Disease Controls Workplace
Health Model. Much like the CDC, CBA hopes to gather information in order to learn about any
factors that may support or hinder the health and safety of employees, and to identify possible
opportunities to address risky factors (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, n.d.).
Scoring
In the questionnaire below, you will notice that there is not a numerical value scoring
scale for this specific assessment. The questionnaire was designed with yes or no questions, with
the intention that the data collected would be studied on a deeper level. This is to help find trends
Assessment

B. EMOTIONAL HEALTH
1. Do you feel that you are in a good emotional state right now? Y N
C. PHYSICAL HEALTH
2. Do you feel that you have enough opportunities to get up and walk Y N

E. SPIRITUAL HEALTH
Y N
1. Do you ever feel discriminated by your religious preferences or background?
2. Do you feel that you make efforts to work on your spiritual health? Y N
3. Can you relate spiritually with any other employees or with any of the Y N
organizations ideals?
F. NUTRITIONAL HEALTH
1. Do you feel that you have enough opportunities for meal time throughout Y N
your shift?
2. Is the organization located nearby different healthy eating options? Y N
While CBA does a great job in good overall offering support throughout all of the six
health domains mentioned above, there is still room for improvement in a few areas. One of
these areas is the nutritional health, as CBA is currently not located near healthy eating options.
Employees must fully rely on at-home packed lunches or the less healthier options that are
nearby the building. My advice for CBA is to build partnerships with on-the-go meal companies
like Mighty Meals, so employees can have more meal options at a discounted rate.
Strengths
CBA exhibits strength in that most employees feel connected and related to one another.
Employees feel that they are understood regardless of their origin or background. While CBA
may not be located nearby many healthy food establishments, the organization does make great
efforts to provide its employees with ample of opportunities for meal time and break time. This
is imperative for all health domains as it allows for proper fuel intake and decompression from
daily stressors (Seiter, 2014). Breaks also make for increase in productivity and better focus.
This is because studies have shown that when the brain is in daydream mode (break mode), it
allows it to create new connections, which in turn gives to higher abilities to solving problems
(Seiter, 2014).
With the application of this assessment like this one, I can ensure that all health domains
are properly assessed. As a leader, I am to find the best tools that can help me solve problems
and find strengths that need to be reflected and recreated in other areas. One thing is for sure,
with the extended periods of time that people spend on their desks; we must ensure that we make
better choices not only nutritionally, but also physically and emotionally. This assessment will
