"How can I know how to properly worship God?

"

Answer: Worship can be defined as the act of honoring and loving a deity, idol or person in a
selfless manner. The act of worship involves the total self in giving praise, thanksgiving
and reverence to that deity, person or material object. It is not a half-hearted affair, and it is
only after we distinguish between that which is and isnt worship, with regards to the divine
objective, that we can begin to answer the above question more fully. True, biblical worship,
as defined by the scholar A. W. Pink (1886 1952) in his exposition of the gospel of John,
says this: It is a redeemed heart, occupied with God, expressing itself in adoration and
thanksgiving. Likewise, A. W. Tozer said, True worship is to be so personally and
hopelessly in love with God, that the idea of a transfer of affection never even remotely
exists.

So, the true worship of God is distinguished by the following criteria: first, it comes from the
redeemed heart of a man or woman who has been justified before God by faith and who is
trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness of sins. How can one worship the God
of heaven if his sin has not been dealt with? Never can that worship be acceptable that
proceeds from an unregenerate heart where Satan, self and the world hold sway (2 Timothy
2:26; 1 John 2:15). Any worship, other than that from a washed heart, is vain.

Second, true worship of God comes from a heart that desires Him alone. This was precisely
where the Samaritan people erred; they sought to worship both God and idols (2 Kings 17:28-
41), and this is reaffirmed by the Lord Jesus Christ when He discourses on the subject of true
worship with the Samaritan woman who came to fetch water from the well. You Samaritans
worship what you do not know (John 4:22). These people worshipped God half-heartedly
because their total affection was not set on God. It is possible for even true believers to fall
into this second error. We might not assent to having physical idols, like the Samaritans did,
but what absorbs our will, our time, our resources most of all? Is it careers, material
possessions, money, health, even our families? Let us cry out, like King David in Psalm 63:5,
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips, my mouth will praise
you. Nothing less than God should satisfy the heart of the regenerate man, and his response
to that divine satisfaction, comparable to the best food ever, is the fruit of lips that sing Gods
praise (Hebrews 13:15).

Third, true worship of God is the desire to continue to build up our knowledge of God. How
we have lost that desire in these days! Apart from the Bible, which we should be reading
daily, we need to supplement our knowledge by reading other good books, too. We need to
fill our minds constantly with the things of God; God should always be on our mind, and
everything we do should be done with reference to Him (Colossians 3:17; 1 Corinthians
10:31). It is interesting that the Greek word for worship in Romans 12:1 can also mean
service. So, our daily lives should also be considered as worship. Every day we are to offer
ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. The church is supposed to be
impacting the world by its worship of God. Far too often, its the other way around.

Let us purify our hearts if we really want to worship the triune God in spirit and in truth. Our
God is holy; He is altogether Other, a God who cannot share us with other objects of our
affection. Indeed, a God who WILL not share us, for the sake of His holiness. We were made
to be creatures who worship, but the Fall has crippled and ruined us. Worship is the most
natural thing for man, but until we are restored to God through the sacrifice of His dear Son,
then all our worship is but a vain thing. It is as strange fire before the altar (Leviticus 10:1).

John 3:16King James Version (KJV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should

not perish, but have everlasting life.

GOD is Inviting us to come to HIM and Repent in all the Sin that we have committed accept JESUS CHRIST in

your life, Recite this Prayer: LORD JESUS Forgive me to all the sin that i have committed, I Accept You as my

LORD and Savior cleanse me by Your Precious Holy Blood and Write my name in the book of Life Amen. As

you Sincerely Recite This Prayer, The Bible Declares in John 1:12 KJV, But as many as received him, to them

gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: this is the beginning of

GOD's Adoption in your Life, Preserve your Relationship to GOD by this three Basic Steps:

1.Read the Bible and apply the word of GOD daily in your life. 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV All scripture is given by

inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2.Find a Bible Base church that Preach the reality of Heaven and Hell an Evangelical church that proclaim

The Second Coming of JESUS CHRIST. Hebrews 10:25 KJV not giving up meeting together, as some are in

the habit of doing, but encouraging one anotherand all the more as you see the Day approaching.

3.Pray,Confess and Forsake your sins Daily. Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but

whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Biblical Requirements
for Leaders
FEBRUARY 16, 2016 / 1 COMMENT

Timothy 2:1-13, Titus 1:5-9, Acts 6:1-6 at Exodus 18:21-22. Pwede nating
sundin, kilalanin at mahalun pa ang ating Tagapagligtas?
2. Conviction.
ways of the world? That in the midst of a generation that corrupts, we will be the
light of the world? Romans 12:2 ba ang ating lifeverse? You will stand for what
is right even if others will not and will tend to compromise.
3. Competency. Competent ba sila sa pagbasa sa Bibliya? Fully equipped to
answer questions? Ready to stand in truth?
We must also
work with the gifts that the Holy Spirit entrusted us. (Ephesians 4:11-12, 1
Corinthians 12:12-31). Are we using those gifts with excellence?
4. Character. It is not a
matter of perfection, but of direction. Are we moving towards Christlikeness? to
ever increasing glory? Are we above reproach?

Five Ps for Worship Leaders

FEBRUARY 16, 2016 / LEAVE A COMMENT
Hello!

PRAY. First and foremost. Bago ka gumawa ng line up. Bago ka tumayo. Bago
solid na reading of the Word.
PREPARE. Prepare your line up. Prepare what you are going to say on stage.
Prepare your clothes (dapat presentable.) Prepare yourself. Its one thing to rely
on God, but its wise to prepare for Him. Hindi excuse ang led by the Spirit
para di na magprepare. Preparation is one of the keys for victory. Sabi ni Paul,
we must be prepared, in season or out of season.
PRESERVE. Preserve your physical bodies. Wag na magpuyat bago maglead.
Preserve your voices, which is our primary instrument. Preserve so that you can
serve well. We are His temple. Pag pinabayaan ang katawan, parang isinasantabi
nating tayo ang Kanyang Banal na Tahanan.
PRESENCE. Earnestly desire His presence everyday. Enter into His presence
with excitement and expectation. We are leading His people into an intimate
relationship with Him. We are ushering them into the Presence of God.
Ika nga, you cannot give what you do not have.
PURITY. Pursue Purity. Psalm 24 says that the people that can ascend to the hill
of the Lord are those who have pure hearts and clean hands. Purity is the way to
go. May it be in our actions, minds, thoughts or heart. #speedtip

QnA: Tips on How to Lead the

Congregation into Worship
MAY 29, 2015 / LEAVE A COMMENT
Old jokes about worship leaders.
Pwede po makahingi ng tips on how to
lead the congregation? Tips po para sa magwoworship lead. I know magiging
malaking tulong po. Salamat, sir!
and this is the first for the series. One of the greatest tasks of worship leaders is
to lead. Kaya nga worship leaders tayo. Also, we are worship leaders and not just
song leaders. This is one of the greatest differences.
Any singer can lead songs kahit sina Regine Velasquez o kahit sa videoke. Pag
feel mo ang kanta, mapapakanta ka. Pero iba pag naglead ka ng worship. You
usher Gods people into His presence.
So, this entails the high calling of
being a worship leader. So the question ng isa kong kaibigan sa akin sa FB ay
ano ang mga tips on how to lead the congregation. Well, here are some of my
answers sa aming chat. Here are four. There are so much more. Here
are some only, but I deem this very necessary.
Answer:
Hi ____, Sige, here are some tips on how to lead your congregation.

1. Know God.
Yun ang first and foremost. Kalimutan mo na yung mga
susunod, wag lang to.
2. Know your congregation.
May sariling mundo, so kaya hindi tayo nakakareach to
their needs effectively thru music. Know the generation on which the
congregation falls.
makatalon sina lolo.
congregation, you have the freedom to use whatever song that God leads you to
lead his people.
3. Smile. They
become engaged in worship because they know that you delight in worshipping
God.
4. Exhort.
From the abundance of their hearts, their mouth speaks. We as worship leaders
should encourage the people to enter the presence of God. We must fully explain
to them what we do and why we do what we do. Paulit ulitin ang kanta para mag
sink in ang mensahe. Wag matakot mag adlib. It flows naturally from your heart
of worship.

Ito lang muna for now! Four tips. Know God, Know Your Congregation, Smile,
Exhort. Alam ko marami pa, but I deem the PINAKAimportant is that you know
God more INTIMACY.
leaders.
Kung may questions pa kayo, you can hit the message box sa facebook page. God
Diyos!
TOP 3 PAALALA FOR
MUSIC TEAMS
MAY 28, 2015 / 1 COMMENT

Paalala No. 3

-PURSUE EXCELLENCE. The word excel is defined as be exceptionally good

at or proficient in an activity or subject according to Oxford dictionary.
HE DESERVES our ALL. Todo na to!
Kanta kung kanta. Sayaw kung sayaw. Tugtog kung tugtog. Talon kung talon!
Paalala No. 2

-KEEP A PURE HEART OF WORSHIP.

Are you a pure vessel of His presence?
Psalm 24:3-4 says, Who may
ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? He who
has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood
And has not sworn deceitfully. Anong ibig sabihin nito?
kamay at pusong dalisay.
Sabi ni Sir John Piper, God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in
Him. SEEKING HIM WITH A COMPLETE HEART OF LOVE and
SURRENDER is the secret of capturing His heart.
We just lead them and worship God with
a pure heart. Then the flow of His holy presence will have His way in our midst.
Paalala No. 1

-DEPEND ON THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Napakahalaga nito

bilang worship ministers.
from God we can do NOTHING (John 15:5). Yari kapag puro yabang lang sa
stage, walang mangyayari. Depend on Him, not on yourself.
Sabi niya
sa Psalm 23:5b, You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows. God has
chosen us be part of this team and Hes the One Who can anoint us. And most
importantly, let us always be led by His Spirit. By this, we can be assured that we
are doing what God wants us to do as we lead people.
Katulad nalang
noong panahon nila Peter and John in Acts 4:31, it says, After they prayed, the
place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the
Holy Spirit. And lets remember, that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is
freedom (2 Cor. 3:17).
Connected silang lahat. Kaya naman, ihanda ang sarili. As
Joshua says to the Israelites, Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD
will do amazing things among you. Joshua 3:5

THE CORRECT
WORSHIP STYLE
DECEMBER 9, 2014 / LEAVE A COMMENT
Pagkarami-raming libro na naisulat tungkol sa Worship. They come from
various spectra from different cultures, denominations and backgrounds. Ako
mismo na-expose on the different ways different churches do their Praise and
Worship. Common na ang full band with a worship leader, back up singers.
ang tugtugan with synthesizers and electropop music. Others may resort to the
traditional worship, wherein hymnals pa rin ang hawak and they sing with their
pianist. Liturgical ang worship. Mas solemn. Now, with these various worship
styles in mind, what is the correct worship style?Nagiging bone of contention ng
way of edification ang praise and worship, nagiging cause of division and split
pa. What does the Bible say about worship styles?
First, God loves variety. He is not a legalistic and kill joy God.

Whether Jew
or Gentile. Sabi nga ni Paul Basden sa librong The Worship Maze, For those
who wave their Bibles and claim that Holy Scripture gives us a blueprint for
worship, I have a sobering piece of news: the New Testament nowhere endorses one
specific style of worship for all believers!
Whooooooooop! Baka mamisinterpret niyo ko sa sinasabi ko. While God did not
prescribe a specific style of worship to be followed by all, God gave us guidelines
and guidance for corporate worship. OT pa lang may mga guidelines and some
principles na. Parang discipleship lang, walang one size fits all walang
God gave us
timeless principles and it is our task to implement worship.
Lahat ng tao iba iba ng ways and means on how they experience and meet God
through worship. Walang one-size fits all. The ultimate aim of worship is
a personally meeting with God (Robert Webber) and worshipping God
because He is God. May ibang na-memeet si God through silence and solitude,
others by music, others by pop. Worship is to stand amazed by the holiness,
truth, beauty and love of God. In worship, we meet the God of all creation.
What are the principles that God gave us in the Bible about worshipping God?
Here are some practical principles to follow na masasabing you are worshipping.

1. Worship God in the BEAUTY OF HIS HOLINESS.

Pag hindi na narerevere si God in the splendor of His majesty, red flag na yan.
Approaching a
Holy God is the task of worship. If we encounter His holiness, theres something.
Pag wala nang striking revelation of His holiness as we worship and we take
worship lightly as like we equate worship as singing esep esep!

2. Worship God in SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.

Two major principles (1) in Spirit sa banal na Espiritu.
worship. (2) in Truth God is truth, Jesus is the Truth. So we worship in Truth.
As worship leaders, kailangang icheck ang theology ng songs. Hindi basta
ipapakanta kasi catchy ang melody. Hindi ipapakanta kasi sikat yung kanta.
Ipakanta ang kanta dahil may katotohanang nais ipakita ang Diyos.
3. Lastly, WORSHIP GOD, NOT THE EXPERIENCE.

Ito na siguro ang last principle that I have learned throughout the years na
naglelead and nagoobserve ako ng different worship services. We need to
worship the Creatorand not the experience that it brings. Wag tayong mafocus
presensya ng Panginoon, dahil sabi sa Bible, In His presence, there is
FULLNESS OF JOY. And we enter His gates with thanksgiving.
Worship
God, not the experience. (Ronald Molmisa, 2014)
These are some of the principles na pwede nating ma-glean over sa Bible on
worship.
Lord ay God of diversity. He loves variety. Kaya nga may ginawa siyang maputi,
maitim at kayumanggi.
worshipper.
Worship can be as loud as a shout, or as silent as a cry. God is more concerned
about your heart rather about our style of worship. MAHAL KA NI LORD!
PS. Nakita ko ito habang nagsesearch sa Google. Mag-iba man ang worship
Lord, my prayer is that we as worship leaders
should revere You always as our God. Alisin mo sa amin ang pride, self-reliance
at self-righteousness. Manatili kami sa Iyo Panginoon, mag-iba man ang worship
style at genre.

(PS ulit.
MOUNTAIN HIKING
WORSHIP
NOVEMBER 23, 2014 / 1 COMMENT

This is a great illustation
of worship.

In Psalms 24:3-6 (KJV), sabi ni King David, the great OT Worship Leader:
Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto
vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and
righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that
seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
Simple lang. This passage in the scripture is about a generation that seeks him,
that longs to seek Thy face. In short, mga worshippers. Within this chunk of
how we lead people in worship as worship leaders.

Verse 3 says Who shall ASCEND INTO THE HILL OF THE LORD? I believe
this is the first stage of worship leading. Ascending. Paakyat. Ang worship
leading ay pag-akyat sa presensya ng Panginoon. This may start anywhere.
Kahit sa joyful songs or sa worship songs. We ascend to the hill of the Lord.
To His awesome and majestic presence.
lead the people into worship. We lead the into a mountain hiking experience.
After ascending into the mighty Hill of the Lord, the verse continues as Who
shall STAND IN HIS HOLY PLACE?
Sinasamahan natin ang congregation in standing in Awe of His presence. Pag
lumilipad na ang worship, we just keep quiet and stand in awe and majesty of
His wonders. Others may
call it shekinah glory.
This model of worship by King David is like our common worship set list.
Madalas nagsisimula tayo sa ascending joyful praise, and then we stand in
awe afterwards standing worship. Praise and Worship. Kaya nga
sinasabing inseparable twins ang Praise and Worship.
Bilang mga worship leaders, we are the leaders of the mountaineers in climbing
the hill of the Lord.
as we stand in His holy place. So, as worship leaders, what does God require of
us for us to lead people into ascending and standing in His Holy place? The same
passage would show us the keys on a mountain hiking worship.
1. Clean Hands. Sabi sa verse Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or
who shall stand in his holy place? HE THAT HATH CLEAN
HANDS What are clean hands? They are the hands that are cleansed
by the blood of the perfect Savior.Bago pa man tayo magworship, hingin
The
apostle John would say that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to
forgive us. James would exhort us that a prayer of a righteous man
availeth much.
clean hands. Sin blocks us from the presence of God.
With the blood of Jesus, we are confident that we are
clean before Him. Ihanda ang sarili para maihanda ang iba.
2. Pure Heart. As we continue reading the passage, a person with a pure
heart can ascend the hill of the Lord and can stand in His presence. What
is a pure heart? Isang pusong nagnanais na purihin lamang ang
Panginoon. Isang pusong basag para kay Lord. Isang pusong walang
bahid ng pride. Sa ating paglelead, may God break us so that He could
make our hearts pure again. With the blood of Jesus and anointing, we are
pure. May our motives as our worship leaders may be pure. As we
continue, a pure heart is a heart who has not lifted up his sould unto
vanity and not sworn deceitfully. Deceit, pride and vanity can hinder us
from leading people into the mountain hiking worship. I pray that before
we lead worship, we may search our hearts and test our motives. Lord,
give us pure hearts.
With these as worship leaders, we can lead people into ascending into the hill of
the Lord and standing in His holy place. Ang matindi pa dito, may bonus pang
blessing si Lord as we delight in Him and as we worship like mountain hiking. As
we continue the passage, He shall receieve BLESSING FROM THE LORD, and
RIGHTEOUSNESS from the God of His SALVATION. The greatest reward
that we can have as worship leaders is Jesus himself and delighting in His power
and majesty.
