SELF-REVIEW

#bar2017

How to do "self-review" for 2017BAR using 2016 materials?

I did home review and read for at least 12-hours a day. I used the money to complete all the
materials (photocopy Lang) instead of paying for a review center.

(Ouch! 30thou as fee plus dormitory pa... Aren't you tired of FIVE YEARS of listening?
Nakaka-bingi presyo! Plus 2,500 per hour coaching fee. Guys, be prudent!)

The advantage of home-review is that you don't have to change, smell and look good, and travel
everyday consuming precious hours which are better spent for reading. Also, during center
review, there were late coming of lecturers, tsika-tsika and meeting new people will also distract
your focus. At home or in the garden, mountains or along the beach "mag-buhay" ermitanyo ka
muna. Wala munang ahitan, deactivate social media, and forget hanging around.

During 2016Bar, I used 2015Beda materials (syempre photocopy - by that time Hindi NA
available Ang original at sobrang mahal). So for bar2017, you may use 2016 materials even
photocopies to save money. (These are available by sending pm to
Dom Santos or visit https://m.facebook.com/Law-Reviewers-and-Books-For-Sale-Ph/)

Why not 2017 materials? Time is the essence. Also, if you check the 2016 and 2017 syllabi and
the materials issued by any review schools
there were no significant changes. The contents are almost the same. You may also update your
self with latest jurisprudence by September to October for many good hearted souls will post
digests cases by that time. You may also join "2017 bar support group" by sending "pm" to
Dandan Velarde showing your proof of graduation but you need to share at least 24 rulings Kung
Hindi may removal from the group.

"NOW THEREFORE, premises considered", I can say that self-review is prudential and easy to
do. Just follow these few steps.

1. Get your RedBook2016. Read it along with 2017syllabi AND codal. Cross out each item listed
in the syllabus. (Read them per subject)

2. If Wala Sa RedBook Yung item Sa syllabus, consult your Memory Aid2016. Read theM
quickly only to refresh your memory of the concepts. (Use Only 20% of your time)

3. Then, read intently (dig deep) RedNotes, Casedigests, UP Answers, rulings posted in
2017support group, Bersamin cases, and from all other digest cases. Take note of the law
(concept again), principles and exceptions (exception to the exception) applied by SC. (Use 80%
of your time)

( Magbabasa KA Lang NG reference book if you really don't understand the concept. But be
quick, Baka maubos oras mo.)
4. Do not memorize. It's too early. Do it during pre-week. Pre-week is re-reading, updates and
practice writing legibly which shall we take on later.

Note: I recommend Beda Kasi Ito po Yung ginamit ko. So you can use also other materials Basta
wag chopseuy. Yun bang Meron kang Beda, UST, UP, Ateneo etc... Di mo mababasa lahat YAN
at mawawala Yung factor NG synergy. Magtatagal KA Lang comparing which has better
explanation and you will end up a MASTER FLUNKER. So better focus on one set - master it.

Other materials needed to beef up your review. Use only when necessary but be quick.
