Squamish Terminals Berthing Load Calculation Booklet
‘This booklet has been developed at the request ofthe Pacific Piltage Authority to aid in
determining the tug bollard pull requirements for berthing vessels under various weather
conditions at Squamish Terminals No.1 and No.2.
‘Two vessels have been selected for the bollad pull analysis; they are the 45,242 DWT
self-loading bull/contater vessel Westwood Anette and the 9,334 DWT RoRo cargo
vessel Westwood Pomona. The Westwood Anete is representative of the class of the
45,000 DWT sel-loading bullicontainer vessels that regularly cal at Squamish. As such,
this bookdet may be used to calculate the bollard pull requirements to a good degree of,
veuraey for any vessels ofthis type. Vessels similar t the Westwood Pomona are not
calling at Squamish at present, however, should vessels of similar configuration,
