Material as Color

Exploring several materials

metal, glass, fur, bone, vinyl
wallpaper, stone and mirror
we can break down complex
textures and patterns into a
solid color. This is a project in
creating custom colors using
color theory from those
materials and creating a
scheme from them.
Concept model for a park installation

Observing and morphing wreckage

off the shore of Brooklyn, I asked
myself how I can translate what most
people would regard as trash and
translate it to a memorable and
massive organic experience. I created
this model as an outdoor sculpture
installation.
The Color Room

The idea of this project was to create a 20 by 20 room in which

color is experienced in a unique way. I wanted to translate the
psychological effects of specific colors into regions of the space
and blend them to create a unified concept.
Autocad and Photoshop floorplan

Here I am representing my skills in using

different tools in photoshop to bring a
basic floorplan to life. Shading, textures
and lighting are added to make a flat
floor plan dimensional for presentation
purposes.
The Tempest Model

This is a set design model I created for the

show The Tempest by Shakespeare. I used a
variety of materials including clay, modelling
mesh and paper mache to create an
environment filled with texture and implied
line to suggest movement.
Fabric Selection

These are fabric

selections for a living
room. The goal was
to create an eclectic
vintage feel while still
staying in the
contemporary realm.
I used modern fabrics
with a mix of patterns
and textures to
achieve this scheme.
Through diagramming I have developed a bus stop design with the intention
of it being installed on the southern end of Madison Square Park in
Manhattan.

The Gum Under The Shoe is the title of the installation. Concepts
explored were the busy concrete lifestyle of a New Yorker and how the
city transforms at night.
