2. Adoption of Minutes of April 18, 2017

2.1. DECISION: Dave Kroetsch moves to accept minutes of April 18. Esther Chung seconds. Motion is
carried

3. School Report
3.1. Bunker has been ordered and should arrive at anytime
3.1.1. As soon as it arrives, equipment from change rooms will be moved into it and ordering of
additional equipment will begin
3.1.2. QUESTION: When will Kindergarten equipment be ordered
3.1.2.1. Waiting for delivery of bunker, but should be done before end of the school year
3.2. QUESTION: Do we know where upcoming city construction vehicles will be parked?
3.2.1. No information provided as yet
3.3. 165-170 students enrolled for day summer school program
3.4. Hosting G5 boys soccer tournament May 25
3.5. G5/G6 trips next week
3.6. Panoramic photo June 6
3.7. Kindergarten introduction session June 7-8

3.9.1. QUESTION: Will kids get to leave early to prepare for graduation?
3.9.1.1. Should not be an issue
3.10. QUESTION: Are we still seeing parking issues?
3.10.1. In the morning, we have seen a great improvement, but still having issues in the afternoon
3.10.2. We will be requesting parking enforcement to come in the afternoon
3.11. QUESTION: When will potholes be fixed in the parking lot?
3.11.1. Should be done in June or over the summer. Same for holes in the play area from roof
replacement

4. Treasurer's Report
4.1. Silent Auction raised $1,978
4.2. Freezie sales raised $470
4.3. Last date for submitting receipts is June 15. Otherwise, requests will be reimbursed in September
4.4. Reimbursement of police check fee will be discontinued next year due to administrative effort
4.5. DECISION: Melanie Ryckman moves to allocate up to $150 towards the purchase of 4 mini-cashboxes and
1 large cashbox. Tirso Beltran seconds. Motion is carried
4.6. ACTION: Sarah Frost to provide Eric Fung with names of departing staff by end of first week of June
4.7. ACTION: Eric Fung to send out email vote for thank-you gifts to departing staff after receiving confirmed
numbers from Sarah
4.8. DECISION: Eric Fung moves to allocate up to $500 towards purchase of percussion instruments. Ivar
Soever seconds. Motion is carried
4.9. ACTION: Sarah Frost to update Eric Fung if additional funds needed for percussion instruments.

5. Other Business
5.1. ACTION: Eric Fung to send email about need for organizers for pizza lunch & dance-a-thon
5.2. QUESTION: Has TAC sports been running soccer after school?
5.2.1. Yes. Already running
5.2.2. Request to run in September as well from 3rd week to November 3rd
5.3. QUESTION: Are lunch programs supervised by staff?
5.3.1. Permitted differently. Vendor supervises, but requirements/costs are different because school
staff are in the building at that time.
5.4. First School Council meeting for 2017-2018 will be Wed. Sept. 27
