Wall chanting Tor Auf! meaning open the gate. 2 million people from East and West flooded the gate

large oil reserves. By February 28, President Bush declared ceasefire and the Iraqi resistance had
completely collapsed. On December of 1991, the Soviet Union disintegrated to fifteen separate countries
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldova, Russia,
Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. The reason why was because they were on the verge
of collapsing, so they decided to take action. They kidnapped Gorbachev and announced that he was sick
to govern. Without military to back they up and they failed. This was the Fall of the Soviet Union.
Recession is a period of temporary economic decline during which trade and industrial activity are
reduced. Recession in the 1990s marked the end of what was at the time the longest peacetime economic
expansion in U.S History. New England was hit the most from this recession.
