METHODOLOGY

This study used questionnaire used a questionnaire based survey methods. 20

questionnaires were prepared and distributed to the BSIT-1B students of Cavite State University

Cavite City Campus in the month of April 2017. Filled questionnaire received from 20

respondents .i.e. 100% of target students. While distributing questionnaires attention was paid to

ensure the BSIT-1B students were represent adequately in the students. For this purpose BSIT-

1B students of Cavite State University Cavite City Campus are also interviewed. Data

collected through the questionnaires was organized, analyzed, tabulated and interpreted by using

simple statistical method.

Evaluation Procedure

The steps done during the evaluation were: 1.) questionnaires were distributed to 1

librarian and 19 students of BSIT-1B of Cavite State University Cavite City Campus; 2.) The

survey forms had been distributed to the evaluators. Moreover, the directions and objectives had

been explained by the researchers to the evaluators.

1. The respondents have rated the survey based on Likerts Scale as shown in Table 1.

Table 1 shows the Likert Scale. It is a psychometric scale commonly used in research that

employs questionnaires. It is mostly used in interpreting the responses from a survey research.

2. The collected data were tabulated and the mean score for each criterion and the overall

mean of the criteria has been computed.

3. The results had been interpreted for the equivalent descriptive rating using the Likerts

Scale Descriptive Rating for Interpreting the Evaluation Result as shown in Table 2.

Statistical Treatment of Data

After the evaluation, responses were tallied and analyzed. The mean and overall mean

were used to describe the validity of the responses of the evaluators.

The mean was computed using the following formula:

= where: = mean

= summation of

f = frequency

x = numerical rating

n = number of respondents
Meanwhile, the overall mean used the following formula:

= where: = overall mean

= summation of

= mean (for each criterion)

n = number of questions in survey
