The scope of a project is all the work that must be done in order to satisfy the
customer that the deliverables meet the requirements or acceptance criteria agreed
upon at the onset of the project.

The cost of a project is the amount the customer has agreed to pay for acceptable
project deliverables. The project cost is based on a budget that includes an
estimate of the costs associated with the various resources that will be used to
accomplish the project.

The schedule for a project is the timetable that specifies when each activity
should start and finish. The project objective usually states the time by which the
project scope must be completed in terms of a specific date agreed upon by the
customer and the individual or organization performing the work.

Customer Satisfaction is the level to which the customer is pleased with the end
result of the project.

1. It can help the project manager in taking actions to prevent or minimize the chances of

2. Addressing risks proactively will increase the chances of achieving the project objective.
3. The information could help the contractor to include contingency or management reserve
amounts in the bid price. If the risks seem too great, the contractor may decide to not
bid on a proposal.

Explain three (3) situations when a project can be terminated early.

1. If the research shows that a product will cost much more to make the originally
anticipated.

2. If there is a change in a companys financial situation.

3. Projects also can be terminated by the customer because of dissatisfaction, which can
really hurt a contractors business and reputation.

Contractors may consider about any other contractors that might also submitting a
proposal in response to the RFP.

2. Risk
Contractor may consider about the possibilities of a project being unsuccessful,
technically or financially.

3. Mission
Contractor may consider whether the project is consistent with the contractors business
mission.

4. Extension of capabilities
Contractor may consider if the proposed project provide with an opportunity to extend
and enhance its capabilities.

5. Reputation
Has the contractor successfully completed projects for the same customer in the past.

6. Customer funds
Contractors should not spend time responding to RFPs by developing proposals for
projects that probably will not be funded.

7. Proposal resources
To prepare quality proposal, contractor must have appropriate resources to work on it.

8. Project resources
Contractors need to be sure that the appropriate individuals within their organization will
be available to work on the project.

decrease on the cost for each activity in month 9. Determine the forecasted cost at
completion for the project.
