Letter to the Author

For this quarter, your book project will be to write a letter to the author of a book that

you have read this year. It can be a book that you have liked or had questions about. It

could be a book in which the ending was disappointing or a book that you wish had a

sequel. You choose the book and you write the letter, and you will hand in a PAPER

copy to me that is either IN BLUE OR BLACK INK or TYPED IN 12 point font.

Requirements of the letter:

o Must be AT LEAST one page in length

o Must be in INK or TYPED in 12 point font

o MUST mention the book and any others that you have read by this author

o Must include AT LEAST 5 things about the book that you readyour opinion IN A

RESPECTFUL WAY about the characters, setting, or plot; wonderings that you

have, etc

o MUST include AT LEAST 3 questions that you have for the author. They can be

questions about their childhood, about why they chose to be an author, about the

book, about the writing process that they go through when writing a book, etc
