vAssessments (50%)

School Wide Assessments (25%) Unit Tests, Benchmarks, Performance Tasks, i-Ready Assessments

Class Assessments (25%) Quizzes and Projects
There will be a quiz every Friday.
There are no make-ups for quizzes, unless there is a special circumstance, in which case a letter
from the parent must be provided in advance, or immediately following.
Quizzes are graded on a scale of 0 10 points.
If you receive a failing grade on a quiz (less than 6.5 points), there will be an opportunity to do
additional work to make up points, called an Action Plan.
Anyone caught cheating or attempting to cheat will receive a 0, and a referral to the Dean and/or
Assistant Principal.


vClasswork and Work Ethic (40%)

Classwork:
Work will be checked every Friday for completion, and you will receive a weekly grade for
classwork. Classwork will be graded on a scale of 0 to 4+
o 4+ = Fully completed work that includes the date, the focus question, our launch notes, all
classwork showing work, and answer to the summary question
o 0 = No work or attempt to complete work
Students that are absent must get the classwork notes they missed from a classmate or from our
class website, www.mslogansmathclass.weebly.com

Work Ethic:
You will receive a weekly grade for work ethic. Work Ethic will be graded on a scale of 0 to 4+
o 4+ = Actively participating in class
o 0 = Not participating/not ready for class
In addition, for each infraction (as noted on the Classroom Rules and Expectations list), a point will
be deducted from your work ethic grade.


vHome Work (10%)
Home work will be assigned every night, and posted on our class website,
www.mslogansmathclass.weebly.com
In order to receive a 4+ on home work assignments, you must:
o Show work. Answers without work will only receive half credit.
Excellence Expected, No Excuses Accepted!
o Complete all questions to the best of your ability.
o If you do not understand how to complete a question, please write a detailed response as
to why, and have your parents sign your homework.
o Box all answers.
o Write a heading with the following information:
Your full name
Your class number
Date of assignment
Home Work #
Teachers name
If you are absent, please have your homework completed for the next day. Please visit the
website, www.mslogansmathclass.weebly.com, contact your peers, or have your parents contact
me through Pupil Path or by email to receive the assignment.



Classroom Rules and Expectations
v We will arrive to class on time, ready to work, with all of our materials.
v We will respect each other and treat each other in a courteous manner at all times.
v We will be polite, respectful, and obey all school rules while in the classroom.
v We will do all of the work assigned, give our 100% best effort at all times, and work from the
beginning of the period right to the end of the period.
v We will listen to and follow all of the directions and instructions provided by the teacher.
v We will not talk or offer distractions while the teacher is giving instructions, providing information,
assigning tasks, or when assigned an individual task.
v If we are having difficulty or problems, we will ask for help from the teacher.

For students in violation of the set rules and norms for the classroom, there will be a list of consequences:
