Mito e Historia: Una revisin filosfica e historiogrfica del

concepto de mito para el estudio de la Grecia Arcaica.

Resumen: El presente estudio aborda el concepto de mythos en relacin con nuestro

pensamiento histrico cientfico-racional. Propone investigar el mito desde la teora del
conocimiento histrico e incluirlo con su propio significado y valor en la reconstruccin
de la memoria histrica occidental y griega antigua, profundizando con ello la relacin
mito-historia. En l, se aborda su status epistemolgico mediante la sistematizacin de
un eje temporal que distingue distintos usos y acepciones, para luego abordarlo dentro
de la experiencia griega antigua a la luz de la poesa de Hesodo. Se comprueba en este
sentido, la posible racionalidad del mito como expresin humana particular con una
propia historicidad de su voz y propio significado, en cuya singularidad se intercala una
multitud de rasgos convergentes de estructura social y mental. Supone, ante todo un
acercamiento muy puntual a la contribucin que el mito ha hecho dentro del
conocimiento humano y sobre todo dentro del conocimiento histrico, como una
revisin que abre caminos de investigacin mucho ms holsticos que el propiamente
disciplinar.

Myth and History: A philosophical and historiografic review of the concept of
myth for the study of the Archaic Greece.

Abstract: The present study approaches the concept of mythos in relation with our
historical scientific - rational thought. It proposes to investigate the myth from the theory
of the historical knowledge and to include it with his own meaning and value in the
reconstruction of the historical western memory and ancient Greek, deepening with it the
relation myth - history. In him, is approached his epistemolgicall status by means of the
systematizing of a temporary axis that distinguishes different uses and meanings, then to
approach it inside the Greek ancient experience in the light of Hesodo's poetry. It is verified
in this respect, the possible rationality of the myth as human particular expression with an
own historicity of his voice and own meaning, in whose singularity inserts a multitude of
convergent features of social and mental structure.He supposes, first of all a very punctual
approximation to the contribution that the myth has done inside the human knowledge and
especially inside the historical knowledge, as a review that opens ways of investigation
much more holistic than properly to discipline.
