ZUMBA Dance Competition for NUTRITION MONTH Celebration 2017

GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. The Zumba Dance competition is open to all Grade 7 to 12 students and teachers of
Royal International School, Inc. The theme of the Zumba dance contest is centralized
to this years Nutrition month celebration theme: Healthy diet, gawing habit FOR
LIFE!
2. There shall be 3 clusters for the contest: Cluster 1- Grades 4, 5 and 6; Cluster 2-
Grades 7, 8, and 9 ; Cluster 3- Grades 10, 11 and 12
3. ALL STUDENTS together with their class advisers/subject teachers are REQUIRED to
join the said contest.
4. The Zumba dance music must only last for 5 to 6 minutes per group.
5. Succeeding extra minute/s to the dance and the music will have a demerit of five (5)
points for every minute to the groups total score.
6. There will be three (3) panel of judges per cluster who will facilitate and maintain the
fair standards of the said competition.
7. Failure to come in the contest venue and adhere to the contest rules and regulations
will mean disqualification of the participants. They will only be given five (5) minutes
grace period after the starting time and ending time.

9. The decision of the panel of judges is FINAL AND IRREVOCABLE.
10. Three winners (Champion, First runner-up and Second runner-up) per cluster shall be
selected for the contest.
11. The following criteria should be strictly applied:
Passion, Stamina and Group Coordination 30%

Over-all Presentation 25%

ZUMBA Dance Music with Adherence 20%

to the theme

Appropriateness of ZUMBA Dance 15%

Moves/Routines

Audience Impact 10%
