4V1c Transducer Option

The 4V1c is a multi-frequency, phased sector array
transducer which supports transthoracic adult and
pediatric echocardiography. This transducer has been
specifically designed for a wide range of patients from
the simplest to the most challenging and difficult to
image patient. Truly the single transducer solution for
adult echocardiography.
The expanded MultiHertz multiple frequency imaging
capability allows independent selection of eight fre-
quencies in 2D imaging (five Native tissue harmonic
imaging and three fundamental) as well as three fre-
quency choices in the color Doppler mode, providing
the user flexibility in image resolution and penetration.
Innovative technologies offer a new way of imaging
the patient with greater depth and detail.
Hanafy lens technology, with its patented and
unique shape, provides continuous focusing
and image uniformity while delivering extremely
broad bandwidth and precise control of slice
thickness throughout the field of view. This clearly
differentiates near-field structures with higher
resolution and reduces far-field beam spread.
Multiple PZT ceramic composition and triple matching
layers provide penetration and efficiency benefits in
matching the response between system, transducer
and patient.
Proprietary transducer miniaturization for access
to smaller acoustic windows while providing
advanced ergonomics, lighter weight and easier
handling.
Dynamic Transmit Focus, a multi-focus technique
with wide bandwidth, allows a single transmitted
beam pulse to be simultaneously focused at multiple
zones. The result is reduced near field clutter and the
minimization of artifacts; depth of field is improved
without loss in frame rate.
