A sunshower in many other languages is known by many other names with connections to folklore.
A common theme is that of clever animals getting married or related to the devil, although many variations of parts
of this theme exist.
In Afrikaans, it is referred to as jakkalstrou, jackals wedding, or also Jakkals trou met wolf se vrou as dit ren en
die son skyn flou, meaning: Jackal is marrying Wolfs wife when it rains and the sun shines faintly.
