Firstly, the most important benefit of a vegetarian diet is the prevention on cancers.
Almost all cancers can be prevented by adopting a diet high in fruits and vegetables.
Vegetables,herbs and fruits have cancer-protective phytochemicals. The example of fruits with
cancer-protective are carrots, celery,cucumber,grapes and berries.
Futhermore, a vegetarian diet is high in fibre and complex carboydrates reduce the risk
of Type 2 diabetes as well the need for self medication for those suffering from this disease. In
Type 2 diabetes, the body does no produce insulin or ignores the insulin. Though a meet-less
diet wont cure diabetes, it will reduce the risk of diabetes-associated complications and improve
the bodys response to insulin. Most doctors advice their diabetics to consume legumes,
vegetables,fruits and whole grains for controlling the disease. The results are lower blood sugar
and lesser need for medications in some cases.
Lastly, a balanced vegetarian diet is usually a safe way to maintain an optimum weigh.
Studies have found that vegetarians have a body weight 3%-20% lower than omnivorous
people, and a prevalence of obesity among vegetarians ranges from 0%-6%. In other words,on
average, vegetarians have lower Body Mass Index.
As a conclusion, vegetarian diet will give us a lot of benefits. So, to have a healthier life
style let us try to be a vegetarian. Thats all for now. Thank you for lending me your ears.
