    Academy.Wearehonouredtobeperforminginthisprestigious thecityatavarietyoffunctionsandevents,garneringareputationfor
    concerthall,inthepresenceofourmanydistinguishedguests,friends musicalexcellenceandprofessionalism.TheDonutKingsbrand
    andfamily. derivesfromtheeponymoustuneDonutKing,composedbyNick
    Capocci,whichwasthefinaltrackofthebandsfirstalbum.Theband
    Tonightsconcertprogrammewillshowcaseadiverseselectionof continuestoattractsomeofthebestjazztalentattheUniversity,
    music swing,classicvocalstandards,latin,funk,andcontemporary drawnfromavarietyofacademicdisciplines,allowingforadiverse
    jazzorchestra todemonstratethebroadrangeofsoundsabigband butcohesivegroupwhoarebondedbyasharedloveofmusic.

    Ferguson,EllaFitzgerald,FrankSinatra,QuincyJones,TheBeatles,and
    StevieWonderamongstothers,andfeatureanumberofthebands

    youmaynot. Irrespective,aboveallelse,wehopetosharewithyou
    ourloveandenthusiasmforthebigbandgenre,inthespiritof
    friendshipandculturalexchange.

    ThebandiscurrentlyunderthemusicaldirectorshipofTanzilRahman.
    TanzilisagraduateoftheSydneyConservatoriumofMusicJazz
    Performanceprogram,wherehestudiedimprovisation,harmonyand
    arranging,andinstrumentalandvocalperformance.Hehasworked
    extensivelyasasaxophonist,vocalist,musicaldirector,arrangerand
    Throughouttheconcert,youwillhearmoreabouttheincredible producer,andperformedinhisnativeAustraliawithluminaries
    opportunitythathasbeenaffordedtoustovisitthePeoplesRepublicof includingRhondaBurchmore,MarinaPrior,MikeNock,Gordon

    businesspeople,logisticalpartners,andofcourseeverydayBangladeshis. YouthJazzOrchestra,andledinternationaltoursthroughSpain,India,
    Wehopetorepayyoursupportwithaspiritedperformancetonight,and MontreuxJazzFestival,NorthSeaJazzFestival,theShanghaiWorld
    thatthistourwillbefirstofmanysubsequentcollaborativeventures. Expo,andJazzVienne.
