easy reading in two columns, the left one indicates the item
that must be checked and the right one is the answer for each
item, this columns must been reading in the order: left for the
Monitoring Pilot and the right for the Pilot Flying.

Note: If High Oil Temperature is confirmed, Land as soon as

ELECTRICAL FAILURES

ALT annunciator light illuminated:


Ammeter..Check to verify inop. Alt

If ammeter shows zero:


ALT switch......Off
Reduce electrical loads to minimum:
ALT circuit breaker...Check and reset as required
ALT switch......On

If power not restored:


ALT switch......Off
If alternator output cannot be restored, reduce electrical loads and
land as soon as practical.

The battery is the only remaining source of electrical power.

Proceed with POWER OFF LANDING procedure.

LOW OIL PRESSURE

Annunciators Light..Check
Oil Pressure Gauge....Check
Oil Temperature......Check

Note: If Low Oil Pressure is confirmed, Land as soon as practical and have
engine Failure in flight Checklist on Stand By

LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE

Land as soon as possible and investigate cause.


Prepare for power off landing.

ENGINE FIRE DURING START ENGINE POWER LOSS IN FLIGHT

FLIGHT /NAVIGATE/ COMMUNICATE


Starter......Crank Engine
Maintain Safe Air Speed...73 KIAS
Mixture....Idle Cut-off
Fuel Selector....Switch to Tank
Throttle......Open
Containing fuel
Electric Fuel Pump...........Off
Electric Fuel Pump........On
Fuel Selector.......Off
Mixture.......Rich
Abandon if Fire Continues
Carburetor Heat.........On
Engine Gauges.........Check for Indication
Of Caused of Power Loss
ENGINE POWER LOSS DURING TAKEOFF Primer..........Check Locked

If no fuel pressure is indicated, check tank selector position to be sure it is


If sufficient runway remains for a normal landing, land straight ahead. on a tank containing fuel.

When power is restored:


Carburetor Heat.........Off
If insufficient runway remains:
Electric Fuel Pump.....Off
-Maintain safe air speed
-Make only shallow turn to avoid obstructions If power is not restored prepare for the power off landing.
-Flaps as situation requires
POWER OFF LANDING

Locate suitable field and Establish spiral pattern 1000 ft. above field at downwind
If sufficient altitude has been gained to attempt a restart: position for normal landing approach.
When field can easily be reached slow to 63 KIAS for shortest landing.
-Maintain Safe Air Speed
Touchdowns should normally be made at lowest possible airspeed with full flaps.
Fuel Selector....Switch to Tank
When committed to landing:
Containing fuel
Ignition.......Off
Electric Fuel Pump.....Off/Cold
Master Switch.......Off
Mixture........Full Rich
Fuel Selector.......Off
Carburetor Heat....On
Mixture......Idle Cut-Off
Primer..........As Required
Seat Belt and Harness......Tight
If power is not regained, proceed with power off landing.
