God of all ages, God of the story that includes even us, we hear of *HYMN #699G “Let Us Break Bread Together”
Abraham and Sarah, and we are astounded by their faith. They
trusted you, while we often waver. They believed your promise, SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION
while at times we ignore your words. In their example, we see our
own failings. We confess our sins, aware that you love to show us PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND THE LORD’S PRAYER
grace. We confess our sins, as they did, looking to your endless

THE NICENE CREED
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in our Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the virgin, Mary, and was made

Today we will share in Communion together. Everyone who
knows and loves the Lord Jesus Christ is welcome to partake
together with us. We will come forward to receive
Communion breaking a piece of bread & dipping it into the
cup in a practice called intinction. May this be a meaningful
time of worship & fellowship with the Lord and one another.
There will not be Children’s Church today.
Time of Prayer: After worship today and on subsequent
Communion Sundays, the Elders and Pastor Julia will be
available at the front of the church, to pray for anyone in
need. Feel free after the benediction to come forward and
seek prayers and healing for yourself or come as an
intercession for someone else. You may share any prayer
concerns with us…prayers including physical healing, spiritual
struggles, tangible needs, etc. You might also want to share
a testimony of thanksgiving for something God is doing in
your life. You may also request to be anointed with oil.
Tonight from 5-7 pm, is the Youth Mission Trip
Stockholders’ Dinner. Everyone is welcome to attend. If
you have not RSVP’d please see Pastor Julia right away. We
can always make room. We would love to share our amazing
experiences in WV with everyone who is able to attend.
The next Ladies Lunch will be held tomorrow, 12 noon at the
Country Rose in Dutch Neck Village. Anyone interested in
attending should RSVP to Diane Reichert (358-1480).
Kids’ Klub is well underway! Our next meeting will be:
This Thursday, August 12th – we will visit the Salem
County Sportmen’s Club to enjoy the lake, paddle boats
and a hot dog lunch. If you are not a member of the
SCSC the cost will be $3 per person. We will meet at the
church at 10:30. Please RSVP to the office or Pastor
Julia if you will be attending.

Annual Fall Retreat: Join us as we take some time away in
the midst of our busy schedules to renew our walk with the
Lord and our relationships with one another. Our Fall
Retreat this year is scheduled for October 22nd-24th at
the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn in Bird-in-Hand, PA. We
will be learning about the “plain” life and living with
straightforward faith in a complicated world. Please plan on
joining us for this exciting weekend. Children and teens are
also welcome. The final payment of $150 per adult (less
deposits paid) will be due by September 12th. See Bob
Moore to sign up and with questions.
Don’t forget…It is never too early to start writing for the
next newsletter –any articles can be submitted to Jill at any
time (e-mail or put it in her basket). We are hoping for an
early-September issue.

 Calling all people…
Pastor Julia’s Spring/Summer Sermon Series fits a theme of God
calling us and calling others to serve Him with our whole heart. As we
explore these Scriptures we will be encouraged to understand the
Lord’s calling for our lives. He has great plans for us and for our
church! Take some time throughout the summer to listen to the Lord,
what is he saying to you? Let us continue in our journey of spiritual
growth and renewal as we seek to study his word and know him better!
Why not read these Scriptures and ponder them, pray over them and
meditate on them over the summer!

Update for Children’s Church
We have not had many responses to our call for children
church’s helpers this summer, thus we have not been able to
offer it every week. Having a Christ-centered activity can
make a huge difference for both parents and their children.
Thank you in advance for making this important ministry
possible. Helpers will also be needed for the Fall. Materials
are provided.
August 28th-31st End of Summer RETREAT
Join us at Knoebels for a mini retreat of fun, fellowship and
reflection. This trip will be an excellent opportunity to
commune with the Lord in the beautiful countryside of
central Pennsylvania. There are also hotel accomodations
nearby. RSVP to Pastor Julia or Dana by this Sunday.

Adults-Alpha Program…come ask questions about your faith
and grow deeper in your walk with the Lord…this is a great
program for everyone whether you have been a Christian for
20 years, just a month or you are still seeking. It is also a
great event to invite a friend to attend.
Youth Group and Kids’ Klub also meets during this time!
Our Youth will be using some of the Youth Alpha program
and our Kids’ Klub will be based on a Christian scouting
program called Pioneers Club where they earn badges for
service. More information to follow.

Gardening for God 2010 Season…We are continuing the
harvesting and distributing of our vegetables! There is a
need to keep plenty of water on the garden. Your help would
be appreciated for harvesting, weeding, watering, and
distribution. If you are willing to assist or have questions

everyone who has helped to make this ministry possible.
