JAVA Stack Installation in ERP 6.0 EHP6

Hello to all,

When trying to install JAVA stack for ERP 6.0 with EHP6 from which media we must launch SAPINST and with
option we must choose to install JAVA stack.

Because after launching SAPINST, we found EHP6 for ERP 6.0 and after SAP application server ABAP and
software life cycle options in the tree there is no option for JAVA Stack.

Any help please.

SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP Netweaver 7.3 -> MS SQL SERVER(or Other
databse type) -> Optional Standalone Units -> Standard System -> Advanced Adapter
Engine Extended

There is no option like but one remark I use SAP Netweaver 7.0 with EHP3 and not
SAP Netweaver 7.3.
There is no JAVA stack for SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP3 ?

Hello Zied,

You should try to use the installation media for ERP6 EHP5 or EHP6. I know it exists
because I downloaded it in May of this year. When you run SAPINST, you should be
able to find a stand-alone installation for Java under the Software Lifecycle
Management node in the SAPINST GUI. It will either be under a subnode "Standalone
Servers" or something like that.

Please let me know what you find. My memory needs a refresh. :-)

On ERP 6.0 EHP5 you are right it's under Software standalone Engine but under EHP6
there is no option for J2EE option.

Hi Zied,

Go to the Service market place and download this file:

SWPM10SP00_3-20009707.SAR (Software Provisionin Manager 1.0). Uncar it, you
will see the sapinst that will lauch you to the screen that has the JAVA
setup folder.

Revert if this helps.

Could you send me a screenshot of the SAPINST GUI menu for ERP6 EHP5, please.
Maybe I can give you better guidance with that. I don't have access to a system at the
moment.
