1) Novell Client Installation

Note : Please Remember your user AccoutName of Local System before installing Novell
Software because after Novell Client Installation , you will need it to login in your Local
System . (See C:\users\ for list of users before installing Novell).

Click on Novell Client Software according to your OS .

Choose Typical Installation and click on Install.

This will install Novell client on your PC.

Reboot the PC after installation

.
After Reboot, Click on Switch user or Computer Only Login Enter Your User Accout Name

Now Right Click On Novell Client for windows screen(N)

Expand the Advanced tab. Enter following entries against each.

Tree: IRMANET
Context: STDN.IRMA
Server: STDNBLADE.IRMA.AC.IN
Enter your User id and Password to login to the server

Click on the My Computer and there are three drives mapped to the server. Q (User on stdnblade)
drive is your home directory where you can store your important data and Z drive (data on
stdnblade) is a common place where faculty keeps their teaching material and Y drive other shared
common Resources Managed by students

Change Password : ( This is single sign-on service for the students of the Institute,after changes
this password intenet and intranet password also changed)

Right Click on Novell icon User Administration for IRMANET Novell Password
Administation

Click on IRMNET

Type your Old Password and changer Your Password

2) Installation of Network Printer

A. Windows XP Professional

Open internet explorer and type the URLhttp://stdnblade.irma.ac.in/ipp

Click on Install iPrint Client.

Click on Run.

Click on Run and follow the onscreen instructions.

After installation click on the block name to install the printer. Before installing printer make sure
you are logged into the Novell Server.

B. Windows Vista

1. Click IRMA Software and Guideline.

2. ClickMicrosoft Windows Vista patch folder
3. Copy either 386 or x64 folder in your hard-disk depending on your system type 32 bit
Operating System or 64 bit Operating System.
4. Install both patch

Now Restart the PC

5. Now Run Internet Explorer as Run as administrator

6. Open the URL http://stdnblade.irma.ac.in/ipp

7. Select Install printer
8. Now install iprint client

9. Now again run internet explorer as a administrator

10. Now Run http://stdnblade.irma.ac.in/ipp

11. Select the printer which you need
12. Now Run activex control in popup bar
13. Now Enter your Novell login Username and Password

Now install the printer select yes

C. For windows 7/8/10

1. Internet Explorer Run as an administrator as per above

2. Now Run http://stdnblade.irma.ac.in/ipp
3. Select the printer which you need
4. Now Run activex control in popup bar
5. Now Enter your Novell login Username and Password

Now first Install Novell Iprint after compeleting installation of iprint then again go to first step and
Type
https://stdnblade.irma.ac.in/ipp Then select priter which you need .

Note :

If you are facing the installation of Printer with browser then install the printer with
command prompt

Printer Installation with Command Prompt

Open command prompt run as a administrator

Type following command and select printer accroding to your location.

iprntcmd -a ipp://192.168.100.164/ipp/"Hostel Block A"

3) Installation of Prowess
a) Type \\172.16.0.13in the Start Run
b) User Name : irma
c) Password : irma
d) Click on IRMA Software and Guidlines>Prowess> Click on prowessiq_setup
e) You need to Register in https://prowess.cmie.com website for Accessing Prowess

4 ) Intranet Services

Campus Service Management application is java enabled and it works only with internet
explorer and specific version of Java. If you have installed latest version of Java, please
follow the below information:

Open ControlPanel ----- java ------ click on security ---add this link
