PI 12F Shop Built Tanks

Traditionally, Advance Tank and Construction has been viewed as a field erected Tank
Company. However, we have also been providing shop built tanks including API 12F Tanks to
our customers for over 40 years. Unlike many traditional API 12F Manufacturing facilities,
Advance Tank brings in house engineering, drafting, and custom shop services to the table. We
can handle custom modifications to your 400 BBL 12F Tanks without disrupting our fabrication
process. We are also capable of construction 750 BBL 12F and 1000 BBL Engineered Tanks that
many shops do not have the equipment to handle.

General Notes on API 12F Tanks:

1. Tank will be fabricated in accordance with the latest edition of API 12F Specifications
2. Tanks can be constructed with Type A or Type B Bottoms. It you would like another floor type
please let us know and we can get you a price for an API 650 Appendix J Shop Tank.
3. Standard Material Grade is A36 Mild Carbon Steel. However, per section 4.1 in the API 12F
Specification, we will be willing to build tanks out of other materials requested by the customer.
4. Joints are Double Butt welded
5. Standard Connection will be Female NPT couplings. Advance Tank will provide pricing and
custom connections as required by the customer.
6. Cleanout Doors can be Single or double door design
7. Standard Enardo 8 Thief Hatch is included with each tank. Other hatches are available upon
request.
8. (4) Walkway Lugs are included Pricing for Walkways, Staircases, Ladders, and Platforms are
available upon request.
9. Standard Coatings include bare steel interior with exterior surface blasted to an SSPC-SP 7 and
coated with a standard epoxy. Specialty coatings and internal coatings are available upon
request.
10. All welding is done per ASME Section IX
