kindergarten pupils qualified to be Grade I.

In June 1980, the school welcomed pupils to its Grade School for
Grade I class, Since then, new grade had been added each year. This
prompted the administration to construct a new elementary building
where the school now is continued to flourish.

NARRATIVE
SUMMARY
OF
EXPERIENCES
INTRODUCTION

Good teaching is as much about passion as it is about reason. Its

about not only motivating students to learn, but teaching them how to,
and doing so in a manner that is relevant, meaningful, and memorable.
Its about caring for your craft, having a passion for it, and conveying that
passion to everyone. Most importantly to your students.

Good teaching is about caring, nurturing, and developing minds and

talents. Its about devoting time, often invisible to every student. Its also
about the thankless hours of grading, designing or redesigning courses,
and preparing materials to still further or enhance instruction.

Good teaching is supported by strong and visionary leadership, and

very tangible institutional support-resources, personnel, and funds.

Good teaching is about mentoring between senior and junior faculty,

teamwork, and being recognized and promoted by first peers.

At the end of the day, good teaching is about having fun,

experiencing pleasure and intrinsic rewards. Like looking eyes with a
student in the back row and seeing the synapses and neurons connecting,
thoughts being formed, the person becoming better, and a smile cracking
across a face as learning all of a sudden happens.
ACTUAL TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Being an education student is one of the most crucial and exciting

part is the time when you will undergo practice teaching. A part in which
you will experience to teach in a classroom and to handle different kinds
of students. An experience that will let you know how difficult and how
fulfilling to be a teacher.

When Ms. Merly D. Quiao the principal in Virgen Milagrosa Child

Learning Center (VMCLC) is orienting the Preschool Majors, I felt
nervous at the same time excited. It was really a great feeling to deploy
that day, because I know that as a future teacher it will give us knowledge
and idea on how to handle the preschoolers. Kinder I was my assigned
class, while Ms. Juliet De Guzman was my cooperating teacher. I attended
my observation every day.

During my observation and teaching with Kinder I, I observed that

they are naughty and noisy during classes. Even though the teacher is
already the classroom they are still naughty. But when teacher will scold
them then thats the time they kept quiet.

Of all these experiences that Ive encountered, it served as my

inspiration to share and give all what I can do during my observation and
participation.

I am very thankful of all these experiences that Ive encountered,

because I learned many techniques on how to handle preschoolers it
serves as an preparation for me as a future teacher. It served as my
motivation and inspiration to share and give all what I can do during my
observation and participation. And I assured that my students learned a
lot from me. I will treasure this as one of the most memorable important
things that happened in my life.
PROBLEMS MET DURING THE INTERNSHIP PERIOD

During my observation and participation I encountered various

problems and one of those that I noticed is the classroom management.
Given the fact that my students are preschoolers it is just natural for
them to be so energetic and playful most especially because they are
blended with people with their same age, interest and way of thinking. It
is hard for me at first to catch their attention and build trust. The
classroom is a little bit chaotic but as soon as I present them my
instructional materials they immediately became so attentive.

SUGGESTIONS

After a few months of staying at Virgen Milagrosa Child Learning

Center, I learned many things, And I suggest that in Kinder I classroom
there must be a lot of facilities and instructional materials that they can
use so that the learning process will be interested. And more pictures
inside the classroom the better. In this way the teaching learning process
will be effective.

REACTIONS

As a student teacher I am very thankful and happy for giving me

this opportunity to share knowledge to my students. I learned to love my
students so much because they are always sharing their experiences in
school and at home to me. They are very sweet and kind to me. That is
why we established a good relationship between me and my students.

RECOMMENDATION

One of the best ways to improve practice teaching experience is to

establish a good relationship with the cooperating teacher together with
the teaching staff and especially with the students.
