POSITION SUMMARY:

General Manager has the P&L responsibility and accountability for establishing
strategic direction in creating and implementing a successful business model for
system solutions/projects/services, executing annual plans, building project and
service capabilities, and growing financial profitability. The role will lead the
development and expansion of the new business model for Fluid Solutions. The
position is responsible for alignment of all key and enabling processes that
support the organization in order to address strategic, tactical, and financial
objectives including responsibility for P & L. This position reports to the Senior
Vice President.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


Executes the development of overall business strategy. Assures the strategy is
linked to and is in alignment with overall Fluid Solutions Strategy. Assures the
organization addresses market opportunities and threats in order to maximize
overall growth and profitability.
Leads the effort in identifying inter-company strengths and identifying cross-
solution opportunities for expanded system deliverables and for maximizing market
presence and effectiveness.
Leads the communication of the business strategy throughout the organization and
to key stakeholders. Provides strategic vision and motivation by working
collaboratively with leadership team members in order to build energy toward
established goals.
Assures the organization has the capabilities needed to implement the business
strategy and to remain highly competitive. Provides leadership and oversight to key
and enabling processes to assure continuous improvement.
Leads the development and implementation of the organizations annual business
plan. Assures the planning process creates annual goals, objectives, resource
requirements, and capabilities needed to successfully implement/execute the
strategy. Assures the annual plan is effectively communicated throughout the
organization. Assures that corrective action measures are identified and
appropriately implemented.
Assures that proper reporting, measurement and control systems are in place and
are effective in order to protect shareholder financial interests, inclusive of
receivables, claims, contract changes, and margin enhancement.
Establish targets for production performance and identifies necessary deliverables
at site level and deliver an optimized solution.
Lead project team, including partners, through contract reviews to identify &
manage risks, monitor financial and operational performance against the agreed
timescales, initiate corrective action where appropriate, resolve specification and
commercial issues, manage correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure customer
satisfaction, and negotiate/ coordinate with staff as appropriate.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:


Minimum Bachelors degree with twelve (12) plus years experience in
business/technical management
MBA is preferred
Significant experience in project management in complex project environment, with
project portfolio management
Strong negotiations skills and experience
Proven experience in P&L management, leadership skills, and ability to effectively
manage a matrix team / organization
Understanding of business and project financials
Industry (construction/plumbing) knowledge is preferred
Possesses and utilizes strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making
skills
Superior communication skills consisting of verbal, written, and multimedia
presentations
Established mentoring skills to effectively develop talent
