Referencing requirements:
Plagiarism must be avoided. Materials used should be appropriately referenced
and included in a References Cited list
The preferred style in Sociology is the Harvard style. For further information on this
style of referencing, please see http://guides.lib.monash.edu/citing-
referencing/harvard
To build your skills in citing and referencing, and using different referencing styles,
see the online tutorial
Demystifying Citing and Referencing at

You will be assessed on the extent of your research, and the adequacy of your
bibliography. Your reference list should consist of AT LEAST 8 sources (not
including materials provided as part of the unit).
As well as this:
Citations must be provided in-text (do not reference using footnotes or endnotes).
A reference list is required, and it:
should only be those works you have cited in your assignment
must be given on a separate page at the end of your assignment
must be in alphabetical order
must be carefully checked for consistency of format throughout.
(Note: The reference list does not form part of the required word length.)
