Mel met and married Rachel Dadoun in 1996. He was bar mitzvahed in 1995 and
attended temple at Temple Sholom. Mel enjoyed building a life with Rachel and her
large family. He was always available to help anyone in need. Together they enjoyed
gardening, walking, dancing, entertaining and traveling. They built a wonderful life Leading local news coverage on the Peninsula

Mel had a passion for travel and saw most of the world. He traveled all through
Europe, Asia, Central and South America and made it to Africa. An avid tennis player
and bowler, he was a longtime member of the San Mateo Elks Club. samTrans
